13” iPad for drawing and laptop replacement (always used with Pencil or Keyboard). It covers pretty much all my personal productivity.

iPad Mini for all small screen consumption (big screen consumption is done on TV), quick tasks, and communication when I’m home. (When I’m out I just use my phone or I bring my bag with my 13” iPad if I know I need to be productive).

My iPads cover pretty much all my personal everyday stuff. I use my Mac for work (requires desktop software and beefier hardware), library management, backup management, and the occasional task my iPad can’t do for some reason, eg. a website that only works on desktop.

I was a heavy iPad user when the iPad Pro 11 first came out years ago. I used it mostly for reading books and consuming Macrumors. I was never (and still am not) happy with the lack of accuracy from the Apple Pencil, so despite my best efforts I was never able to replace pen and paper. Give me Japanese paper with a Uniball Jetstream (L refill) and I'm in heaven. I could never replace the utility my Mac so an iPad was always in a rut for me.

Over the years I've bought and sold/traded in more iPads than I would like to admit. Mostly due to the cost and limitations of iPad OS - I've settled on using my iPhone for my book reading and everything else for my Mac.

My family mostly uses their iPads as a mobile TV for news in the morning (90%) and a gaming device late at night (10%). My wife sometimes uses her iPad for her PhD work but 95%+ of work is done on her Mac. Like me, she's mostly a Mac OS / iPhone user.
