Curently playing 2 games:
1. Bioshock
2. Half Life
Believe it or not, it's my first time for both!
Oh, I can believe it. I used to spend far too many hours playing EverQuest and then EverQuest II and then WoW, as in thousands of hours in each. No wonder I have a large backlog!
I only got around to playing Half-Life Source last year and enjoyed it very much. It's every bit as great as they say it is imo.
As for Bioshock, I am glad I never got around to that actually as now I own the Mac version for when I do get to it! I did play a demo on Windows in the past and was very impressed.
I'm sure you'll have a great time with both of these games!![]()
I just picked up Counterstrike: Global Offensive from the Steam Store for $7.50! (half off), during a free-to-play weekend. Steam is deliciously evil!
Funny when you stop and think that the game started as a Half-Life mod, all those years ago!
Yeah, I just installed the old classic CS 1.6 now that there is a Mac version so I can take a spin on that sometime. I love that they bothered to port the old classics, CS, Day of Defeat, Death Match Classic and Team Fortress Classic for OS X now. I played those a lot back in the day when they were new. People still do play them too, especially the original CS in large numbers.
I was real happy also to see Half-Life Blueshift now for Mac. I did play Half-Life Source and the Opposing Forces expansion (which was great) but I had not gotten to Blueshift yet. Now I can enjoy the Mac version.
Steam does tempt me often with great stuff now for Macs.![]()
Now, explain for me what Blueshift is? And how it differs from Source? I thought Source was upgrading the graphics of HL to use the Source engine used for HL2?
ETA: I'm not seeing either Source of Blueshift for Mac on the Steam Store. Just showing the Windows version.
I'm currently playing...
- League of Legends - once a day for the bonus ip lol
- Diablo 3 - started a monk
- Borderlands 2 - started downloading it
- Starcraft 2 expansion - once the price drops
