Guild Wars 2. Frankly, it's one of the best games I've ever played. Every second week there is new update. ArenaNet is one of the best development teams working today, and I love the lack of a monthly fee in a premium AAA MMO.
The game has flaws. The game itself is unique, and is not inherent themepark like world of warcraft and Everquest. Thus it does not get old and stale as there is more randomization (public quests/events/activities/whatever) going on at random all over the massive world. but it's not the "dynamic" dream world we all hoped for.
Still it's a game that boosts some of the best art I have ever seen in a video game, as well as some of the best music. Along with a really nice action packed combat system(just like TERA) it feels very fun to bash away at monsters, and thanks a robust character creation system, a five unique races, splended animations and incredible dye and transmutation system, you are guaranteed to make a character that looks and feels just like you want it to, giving it a personal touch that you won't get in more bland sorts of online games like LoL or DOTA where you create a pre-made Hero. That's a different genre, and different strokes for different folks.
I have my high hopes for the return to glory for sandbox MMOs. ArcheAge holds promise, but it's a Korean made game, and even though it has solid western producers, just like TERA and Bladen & Soul and Aion, I have my doubts about the support and intiative for the western markets.
I hope I will keep playing GW2 for many years to come. The developers are kicking ass and doing faster and greater strides in one year, than Blizzard did with WoW in 3 or 4 years.
Currently GW2 needs better group finding abillities for the dungeons, which many of them needs more rework. But it offers so many options and rewarding ways of play that its very hard to be turned off the game unless you are someone who likes raiding or power items(carrot-on-a-stick). sick, sick, sickly awesome game!
