I've been playing Far Cry 3 - beat it, cleared the whole map, then reset the camps and started clearing them again. When I'm just in the mood to wreck havoc (mostly with the bow and arrow and some well placed mines) that's my go-to game. Hoping to pick up Bioshock: Infinite once it drops in price a bit.
This. I've also been playing Neverwinter. Played WoW for years, got burned out (of MMOs in general, especially of the monthly subscription variety,) picked up Guild Wars 2, enjoyed it but for some reason can't... just can't get excited about playing it. Probably my toon, need to do something different. Coworker told me to pick up NW so we can play at lunch. It's a LOT of fun, free, and easy to jump in, get some stuff done, and jump out. Although it's also easy to lose 3 hours and it feel like only 15 minutes. I may end up putting a little money into it, but it's certainly not necessary to enjoy the game or succeed at it.
Neverwinter has been a great substitute MMO for me. You don't have to worry about a monthly fee, the game play is pretty fun, and you can get a good amount done in an hour. So if I only have a short amount of time to kill, I boot up Neverwinter and knock out a few quests or a dungeon. I have not felt the need to put money into the game... I may end up doing so anyways, but it definitely is not required. There's a good Wine port of Neverwinter on the Porting Team website, so being able to play in OSX definitely helps when I need a quick game.
