Here's my list all on the Xbox One:

1.) Dead Rising 3
2.) Titanfall
3.) PvZ Garden Warefare
4.) Skylander Swapforce

Reads like my XBO gaming list. :)

Though I finished DR3, I play the others regularly and I'd recommend Lego Marvel on PS4/XBO too as it's a fantastic game also.

I started Infamous:Second Son as well. I agree that it looks good, especially in day time. But I stand by my opinion that the graphical leap from one gen to the next was rather small this time around. Going from standard def on PS2 to high def on PS3 was mindblowing. Now we are going from high def to slightly higher def with improved draw distance and more things moving on screen. The improvement is not as immediately obvious to anyone walking by. I actually had to look for certain things to show my wife the PS4 is really much more capable than the PS3. We currently play The Last Of Us together, so the difference in fidelity was not terribly obvious to her.

The game itself is pretty fun, the characters are well written and acted. Controls are solid, everything works. Great close-to-launch title, but nothing mindblowing in the gameplay department.

If you are going to base last gen games vs this gen.
Then you need to compare how year one ps3 games were vs the first year ps4 games.

And this gen is leaps above last gen.

Just look at NBA2k launch for ps3 vs the launch for ps4
Or even the first infamous vs the current one

or even how the first COD on ps4 looks vs the ps4 version or even kill zone.

That just goes to show it is better to wait as the curent gen games are not much better, graphically, than the late last gen games. Regardless, the leap from SD to HD was much more noticable than HD to HD with a little more detail/textures and better lighting. I would argue that this is the first time, in console gaming history, that the new generation isn’t immediately more impressive than the last generation (excluding the Wii).

This gen is not going to be a huge graphical leap over last gen because like you said of HD>

But this gen is going to be more about better AI and smarter AI as opposed to last gen.

Just look like a game like watch dogs coming up. Each person on the streak has their own AI and story lines.

You could never do that in this type of game (see GTA) last gen.

Even with a game like sky rim, you really only had a few main characters that were different then the same few random things that would happen with NPCs.

Watch dogs is where its going and its going to be great.

Just started Outlast. Alone. In the dark. With surround sound.

Holy carp, so freaked out. Switched back to Second Son after 45 minutes to breathe a little. :D

Well, I have finished playing Infamous Second Son as both The Hero and Infamous. Also playing the Paper Trail but have now started on Theif, I got it cheap on the PSN store so thought why not?
I've pre-ordered Wolfenstein too as that looks nuts!

I tend to play a lot of games and jump around.. on PC it's been Titanfall, but on 360:

  • NHL 14
  • Borderlands 2
  • COD BO2 and Ghosts
  • Rocksmith 2014
  • Bandfuse
  • Random Lego games (love these so much!)
  • Injustice
  • Batman Arkham City

Lately it's

Ps4
1. Tomb raider
2. Lego marvel superheroes
3. Infamous second son (second playthrough)
4. NBA 2k14

Ps3
1. WWE 2K14
2. The last of us (second play through)
3. Bully

Xbox 360
1. Splinter cell conviction (5th playthrough! Best splinter cell ever)
2. Dance central 3 (playthrough on hard) 3. Kinect sports

PC
1. Arkham asylum

I am currently playing the "story" mode of Mortal Kombat. It's absolutely ridiculous, but they put so much heart into the dialogue, you just gotta love it! :D :D:D

Playing Lego Hobbit .... But can't get into it :(

I adored Lego Marvel and even Lego Movie / so much so I bought both on both next gen systems.. But L : Hobbit is leaving me cold.....

I held this the other day in the shop and ummed and arrd about it, didn't buy it though. Is it as fun as the other games? Do they speak in the game or just make those funny noises?

Did you get the Doom 4 beta key when you pre-ordered Wolfenstein? Or did they have any left?

No, maybe it's because a dozen dwarfs have less personality / investment in them as characters.

I've seen both movies, read the original hobbit book albeit over 20 years ago but just don't get any feeling of charm or joy when playing it...

Thanks matey, I'll steer clear of it. I have heard the super heroes one is fun though?

Yeah, Lego Marvel is my favourite of all the lego games. It's the polar opposite of Lego Hobbit, loads of recognisable characters, great fun storyline and open world zipping around. And on next gen it looks really great - total blast of game :)
