Anyone else pick up Infamous Second Son ?

First next gen title that has made my jaw drop graphically ...

I love it, started a new game just to play as an evil SoB after getting halfway through on 'good' mode. The game is pretty much Crackdown but without driving, the visuals are simply stunning.

Still wish they would update the PS4 to turn the light bar off on the controller. I had to buy a 3m long charging cable seeing as the controller battery life is utter crap

I started SSX on PS3 today.

Pretty good fun! Takes me back to my college days - we played the original for countless hours in the dorms! :)

SSX is awesome, i loved that game. the only part i hated was the stupid avalanch missions, those were dumb, and the scary thing is all the game was supposed to be at first until they changed it.

ARE the servers still live and people still doing the challenges?

I've only tried the single player "World Tour" so far, but the servers appear to still be live.

Yeah I have a second controller so that I have one on charge whilst other is being used and then swap them around when I need a change.

I'm playing through as good at moment and will replay the game as evil after.

It's one of those games like crackdown where you lose hours just chasing after those shards :)

Though I think I'm playing it wrong. I'm clearing out all the areas/zones, have fully upgraded all my smoke powers and then I'm going back to story mission afterwards. So far I've spent ages with smoke powers and haven't unlocked the others but have tons of shards for when I do, so yeah I think in breaking the structure of it....

They are meant to be releasing a ps4 update that will dim the controller, but yeah an option to turn it off would be handy.

I really need to consider this. I've played a lot of Warframe, which uses the controller's speaker & light bar constantly. So my controller is always getting plugged in. I also have one of the many PS4 controllers with sticky shoulder buttons, not wanting to take mine apart like many do, considering a second one if possible.

Just put black electrical tape over the light, that is what i did and it works great.

On my good guy save I'm at 38% and I just got the "next" power (won't spoil it for you but it's ace). I cleared 2 areas fully before picking up the mission that lead to the 2nd power.

LOL. I assume you are being sarcastic? If not, that solution isn't going to save battery life.

Started Tomb Raider the Definitive collection on XB1 over the weekend. 41% through. Just love this game. Graphically it's amazing but I think we'll be saying this for most next gen games now. For me it's up there with Uncharted 2 and beats Uncharted 3 easily.

OH you mean for battery life, I thought you meant for glare on the TV screen ro if you play at night in the dark where its very bright. That is what i use the electrical tape for, the brightness not the battery.

What you can do, and I actually did this last night, if you have one of those iPhone/ipad/phone USB plugs, just plug that into the wall (you will need an extension cord) and your controller into that. It works great if your controller dies while you are playing.

Also if your ps4 is in standby mode, it will charge the controller, so you can always just plug it into the console when you are not using it.

Finally found time to turn on the PS3/PS4 besides turning it on for Netflix/Hulu Plus. I have Dark Souls 2, Infamous Second Son & Outlast.

I'm a horror genre freak and for some reason last night Outlast made me throw my hands up and walk away from my seat...I think its because it was late night and the 5.1 was up to high..I freaked myself out.

Spoilers: I'm dying to see the video power that you obtain in InFamous:SS.

Bless

I bought a 3 metre cable off of ebuyer for a fiver. Will do the job till they let you turn it off

If Sony are to be believed, the light bar consumes very little power and would make no noticable difference to the controller's battery life.

Who really knows though...

I finally got around to beating the last heist and final mission on GTA V last night, after giving up on that game for 4 or 5 months (got really sidetracked with Dark Souls!). GTA V to me is pretty boring and mundane most of the time. I loved all the other GTA's I've played - 3, VC, SA, and 4 - so I'm not entirely sure why I find V so boring.

Now I'm moving on to some games on my Xbox 360 I got during Black Friday. I've only beaten Halo 4 so far. Going to start on Gears of War 1 :)

PS4:
Infamous Second Son - agree with everyone who said it's the best looking next-gen game so far. Love the neon power

XB1:
Titanfall and PvZ - fun fun fun

XB1:
Titanfall and PvZ - fun fun fun

Yep I'm playing both on my XB1. Both are hideously addictive as in the 'just one more go' ...

Making slow progress with Titanfall but I'm up to Level 27 which is good for me given I haven't played a multiplayer shooter in the last 5 years....

Yeah with Infamous, I thought it looked good but that Killzone was better graphically, but, since I have got the Neon power yeah.... it has a kinda blow your mind on your big TV next gen graphics appeal to it! It's very very very good looking, on par with if not better then Killzone.

Either way, as this is a launch title I think we can only expect some awesome graphics later on, even Titanfall I think looks great ;)

I started Infamous:Second Son as well. I agree that it looks good, especially in day time. But I stand by my opinion that the graphical leap from one gen to the next was rather small this time around. Going from standard def on PS2 to high def on PS3 was mindblowing. Now we are going from high def to slightly higher def with improved draw distance and more things moving on screen. The improvement is not as immediately obvious to anyone walking by. I actually had to look for certain things to show my wife the PS4 is really much more capable than the PS3. We currently play The Last Of Us together, so the difference in fidelity was not terribly obvious to her.

The game itself is pretty fun, the characters are well written and acted. Controls are solid, everything works. Great close-to-launch title, but nothing mindblowing in the gameplay department.

I have Gamefly so I am rolling through the PS4 catalog.

I am currently playing Rayman Legends and I am torn on this one. Its been pretty fun but its kind of all over the place and not sure how to proceed in some stages as well as progressing.

Love the music stages though and going to try and finish it.
