Currently playing Rayman Legends on Wii U & XO

Rayman Legends on XO
Rayman Legends on Wii U

My Comparison

Graphics - Graphically you would be hard pushed to see 'any' difference in the two

= Tie

Controls - It just feels wrong with the xbox 1 controller. There is a noticeable micro delay between button press / analogue movement and actual on screen response. Likewise the sections where 'Murphy' helps out are clumsy on the xbox one and the rotating of platforms in the Murphy sections again require far more finger dexterity needed than the challenge is actually difficult.

The Wii U version works so much better be it with gamepad or controller. The gameplad response is better there is no delay which is important in such a twitch heavy platformer. Likewise the Murphy sections were clearly designed for Wii U and work and perform SO much better on Wii U.

= Wii U win

Loading
A bit of a bug bear in the Wii U version where loading levels can take anything between 20 & 30 seconds - and likewise navigating menus. Whereas on the Xbox One there really is no loading time for levels. You jump straight in. That is its biggest benefit.

= XO win

Conclusion - despite the boost in loading - the fact that the predominant gameplay feels so much better on the Wii U makes this a victory for the Wii U version.

If you have a Wii U & PS4/XO - just get the wii u version / no compelling reason to own both unless your mad as me.

I love a fair objective review

XBOX360: Hitman Absolution & Splinter Cell Blacklist

Started playing Final Fantasy XIII again after finding this rather gorgeous looking guide I picked up with the game but forgot about:

final-fantasy-xiii-offical-guide-collectors-edition-front.jpg

But now I remember why I stopped playing in the first place.

-Why are the character voices so annoying?
-Who decided on the names? Vanille? HOPE?! FFS...
-Why do I have to waste so much time on the opening chapters of the game? Stretched out and you don't even gain EXP? Did the developers just think we can't handle that many elements in the game so early? "Oh no the players are going to be too preoccupied with Hopes devastating loss or thinking about how kawaii Vanille is meant to be!"

So ultimately I decided that it would be better for my blood pressure if I threw the disk away and go back to Bioshock Infinite.

Plants Versus Zombies : Garden Warfare is fun.....

Yeah it's surprisingly good and it's the XB1 game I keep going back to while I'm waiting for Titanfall. Love the Garden Ops mode

Did you get Stick of Truth yet? So many LOL moments in that game. Yesterday Santa Claus and Jesus sent me friend requests on the game's Facebook

It's not arrived yet. I cancelled my European version because of the censorship and ordered the US/ Canadian version....

Haven't even touched Thief that arrived the other day either.

I have a feeling I'm going to have a spring backlog with both Titanfall and Infamous still to come.

Agreed. I am having a surprisingly good time with this. Every time the zombies respawn and make that wharrrbargle sound it just cracks me up. :D

Let us know how you like Thief. I was very disappointed and did not even finish it. Just could not get into it.

Waiting for Titanfall on Tuesday!

Yeah PVZ is basically a really fun and rewarding arcade game, my only criticism is after a few hours you could do with a few more maps - but it really is great drop in and drop out enjoyment.

Yeah I'm worried about Thief, will it end up like Assassins Creed 4 and end up less than half finished despite liking it - it just never drives me on enough to complete it....
