I just sold my digital PS5 before the holidays, if I knew you needed one, I actually would’ve given it to you probably for $200.(I don’t support/nor believe in scalping anyone.) I literally opened it, and never used it. So I decided just to keep both disc PS’s in spare rooms.
I already had one PS5 and then I purchased two more in addition, and I just didn’t care for the digital, especially since the storage fills very fast with updates/game downloads. I do like the slimmer profile, and I really could care less about the Blu-ray player. I just prefer to have the hard copy disc, which gives the gamer more freedom of their purchase and how they manage their storage.
However:
There is a silver lining here for you. And that is, the Hot stock app that I used was my key (Super reliable, and if you’re quick and you have your info pre-installed on third-party retailers, you can achieve one, but it is entirely about timing.) Also, I suspect once the holiday insanity is over, mid-to-late first quarter of 2022, I do think there will be more adequate stock, but there will still be some constraint.
On topic:
If you play miles morales on the PS4, it does look stunning. There are some obvious differences, but if you’re not somebody that’s immune to the PS5 version and you purchase the PS4 version, it still looks gorgeous, it’s just not nearly as sharp as it is on the PS5 with lighting, and the more dynamic affects of other visuals.
