It got great reviews and I think they confirmed a sequel is coming. I didn't play it much but I need to give it another chance.
Yeah at first I was put off by the movement (which is a bit slow and choppy) but when I got deeper into it I enjoyed it. I also was just looking for something that was relaxing with good visuals / sounds for before bed gaming.

Awesome if they are making another one.

That was my big issue with it. The controls felt SO clunky and the story didn't really grab me. I've seen several people raving about it so I really need to give it another chance.

I think I've given up on buying a PS5 for myself. If I ever find one at msrp, I would rather give it to my son first. Am I missing a lot playing Miles Morales on my kids old PS4?

Honestly, I have played miles on my ps5 with a 720p tv and it looks great. My son wouldn’t tell a difference if it’s on a 4K tv. Now if you comparing a ps3 game and miles than yes there is a big difference.

I just sold my digital PS5 before the holidays, if I knew you needed one, I actually would’ve given it to you probably for $200.(I don’t support/nor believe in scalping anyone.) I literally opened it, and never used it. So I decided just to keep both disc PS’s in spare rooms.

I already had one PS5 and then I purchased two more in addition, and I just didn’t care for the digital, especially since the storage fills very fast with updates/game downloads. I do like the slimmer profile, and I really could care less about the Blu-ray player. I just prefer to have the hard copy disc, which gives the gamer more freedom of their purchase and how they manage their storage.

However:

There is a silver lining here for you. And that is, the Hot stock app that I used was my key (Super reliable, and if you’re quick and you have your info pre-installed on third-party retailers, you can achieve one, but it is entirely about timing.) Also, I suspect once the holiday insanity is over, mid-to-late first quarter of 2022, I do think there will be more adequate stock, but there will still be some constraint.

On topic:

If you play miles morales on the PS4, it does look stunning. There are some obvious differences, but if you’re not somebody that’s immune to the PS5 version and you purchase the PS4 version, it still looks gorgeous, it’s just not nearly as sharp as it is on the PS5 with lighting, and the more dynamic affects of other visuals.

Wow... that would have been a deal... but like you, we would prefer the disc version. Appreciate the thought and encouragement. We haven't given up yet... so I'll look into the Hot Stock app. It's been tough in purchasing a lot of tech gamer products, but it is what it is. My kid is still content with his PS4... so when he takes a break from playing his games, he said I could use it to play miles morales.

Update on Halo Infinite
It straddles the line between linear and open plan gaming. Lovely step change from previous Halo games.

The problem is that this new style of Halo makes you want the game to even more like an RPG game.

I wish that the landscape was more varied, cutscenes included warm characters instead of just Cortana and that the game play was more varied. Sometimes it feels a bit too repetitive e.g infiltrate a fort, destroy silos/power plants or kill a one trick pony boss.

With the Hot stock app, they do have an optional purchase [I believe it’s $5.00 per month] where you can be a priority member, basically you’re alerted first over other users. Essentially, you have a 5-minute window sending you alerts for in stock PS5’s versus the mass audience who just subscribes for free. That’s how I scored all of my units. (And with razor speed to the checkout once diverted to the 3rd party site.] You’re most likely successes will be with Target, Best Buy and GameStop with bundle packages.

The catch is, just make sure you untether the $5 priority monthly purchase, so you don’t get charged monthly if you track a PS5 down.

If you happen to score a PS5 based off my advice, I deserve a shout out and a digital fist bump.😁

Any thoughts on NBA 2k22? (Or anyone for that matter can chime in).

The reviews are rather drab, but I’ve been a long time fan of the 2K series, since the Dreamcast days.

Xenoblade Chronicles II: Torna.

I actually finished Xenoblade Chronicles II like 3-4 years ago and had Torna but didn't feel like playing the prequel after investing 100+ hours into the game knowing what already happens. While playing Torna, I want to play the original campaign all over again, it's so good.

Don’t worry, I have yet to start it. Debating if I should get it, play Days gone or Persona 5
I've had this game in my steam library when it first went on sale for 50% off. Since Luke Ross just released his VR Mod for this game, I'm really tempted to play through the whole game now, and start a new game+... and apply the VR mod and play in his experimental 1st person mode. I have weak VR legs... so I'll have switch back to 3rd person once in a while. I heard good things about this game... but I still want to play miles morales first when my kid lets me borrow his PS4.

My Gamepass subscription is due renewal on the 9th Jan. I have decided to cancel. I only rejoined in November to play Forza Horizon 5 which I have for 17 hours, and to play Halo Infinite while my GF’s kids played MineCraft when they were visiting. Overall superb value!

However, I am looking forward to rekindling with MS Flight Simulator Deluxe which I have owned since August but not played since November. Today I discovered they I have clocked 314hours of flying! Mad.:D

I have probably spent 20 hour watching YouTube videos on flying in MSFS by Huddison, Flightsim school and Squirrel. It’s been a fun journey and I now look forward to my 2nd semester of flying!

You know you don't ever truly have to pay for it, right? Just join MS rewards, use bing for 10 minutes a day and then do the gamepass quests. I have owned it since it started and have never paid for it. In fact my subscription is good through June and I am about 2 weeks out of having enough points to add another 3 months.

Started playing the GTA3 remake today. I actually love it! It’s still the same game, but looks and controls much better. This game took up most of my junior year in College, so this is a fun nostalgic experience. Already found 10 hidden packages, two stunt jumps and a few rampages. Really having fun!

Thanks for the tip and say no more. I have now downloaded edge and made it the default browser on my iPhone.

I tried to start Halo Infinite, it's a good game, but I keep interrupting myself with Rock Band 4. (With the loading times on the Xbox Series X, it improves the loading times so much.) I'm not great at it, but it's still fun.

I just wish new instruments were actually still available, I have spent a small fortune in getting some instruments/adapters over the last couple of years, and the prices have shot up since then. Without the plastic instruments, you basically can only do the singing portion, its a shame no one has broken the encryption chip Microsoft uses so we could DIY new instruments/adapters.

I missed out of some of the exports, which makes some of the songs/artists from the older versions impossible to obtain now. Still, I love some of the music they are still releasing as DLC for this game, and there is a huge back catalog available.

In the "clear the backlog" department, I have finally started Sekiro, which has been gathering dust on my shelf since launch day. Not much to report so far as I'm not too far in, but I've defeated the first two bosses in the Ashina Outskirts (the optional one plus the ogre) as well as the first two in the Hirata Estate. Now I'm trying to work on Tenzen Yamauchi; I know he's optional but it'd be nice to get him down. I've also made it past the snake and have encountered the guy on the horse (who I've forgotten the name of).

It's better than nothing...

Amazing game. If you start struggling, remember to be patient but also aggression is key. Wear out the enemy’s posture meter.

What a great game.
