Picked Minecraft Dungeons back up with my son. I haven't played since the first DLC came out and I like the improvements.

Still not the loot drops that Diablo 3 has, but they are increased and you can feel like you are progressing. We probably played for 8 hours over the weekend.

My family plays this periodically. It can be fun if everyone is working together, and minding the bombs.

Finished Deathloop. I give the game a solid 8 out of 10. The controls are really good, the settings is fun and original with the whole 60-ies vibe, same for the story. Spent 27hrs in the game getting through the story, getting some trophies and doing some optional stuff.

Started Spider-Man Miles Morales because I heard it's a short game and I really like the previous Spider-Man game.

Perfect timing for the Miles Morales version, it’s based during the winter time with Christmas. With all these hours you’re putting into these games lately, you better be getting your wife something nice for Christmas.😁

This weekend I have played Halo Infinite Campaign on XBX.

I was sceptical about the game as I played Halo 1 and Halo 2 on the original Xbox. After that ever Halo, Gears of War or even Titan fall game felt similar. Many Halo levels entailed infiltrating a building and killing everyone in your way, and then escape while killing more enemies.

-Grapple gun! A genius and sexy addition that adds a bit of spiderman to Halo. However its extremely well implemented for grabbing objects from a far, sling shortingetovescspe a tight battle of ascend across a level. It's worth watching a video of how people use.

-The size of the open world is just right. Not too big for the sake of being big.

-Weapons, missions and achievements are plenty but tightly control. Forget having 30-50 weapons, crafting, complex skills tress and grindy side quests.

Dislike:
-Could do with a bit more emotion and cut scene. This could make the game easier to bond with for new XBX owners.

Well that's the thing. My wife's a huge Harry Potter fan, and I installed the PS4 on our "home working desk" which isn't that far of the tv/couch and showed her "Lego Harry Potter", and she's been playing on the PS4 now and is going for the platinum trophy, so I got a huge amount of time now to game

Just got an OLED Switch over the weekend, and the first game I got is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Enjoying it with my wife while docking it to the TV. Gonna play it online with some friends soon.

I tried at least five times to invade your game and murd.....I mean "say hello" to you but it wouldn't let me. The requirement that it can only happen a few minutes after you entered the level is tough to get around.

Whaaaa? You mean….. your wife actually games with you? Heck, when I’m in the ‘gaming room’, the closest I can get my wife to game with me, is when she has to has to march down stairs to open the door and tell me to turn down the bass, because it’s disturbing her when she’s watching Jeopardy.(It’s a gaming show, in case you didn’t know.) I told her to get with the times and just send me a text from now on.:D

Other than that, she fascinated watching me play Microsoft flight simulator. She also likes to laugh and heckle at me, and call me a dork, because I take that game very seriously when it comes to being a digital pilot.😁

Only since a couple of weeks. Lego Harry Potter was the missing link for her. And she's taking it seriously, needs to complete every level at 100%.
A good thing, because it takes more time to complete, which means more time for to game!

Slowly playing through the latest Watch Dogs game. Somewhat fun but all these open world games really do pale in comparison to what RockStar has done with GTA and Red Dead. I used to love the Assassins Creed games, and still do buy them as I am a sucker for open world games, but they are just so lacking in terms of natural dialogue and characters. So many strange pauses in scenes, among other things. Red Dead set the bar way to high.

The first ‘Watch Dogs’ that launched back in 2014 was an amazing game. It wasn’t without its problems with frame rate issues and minor crashes, but it was a solid open world game that used the manipulation of a cell phone to control the technology around you, which was something we haven’t seen before in the gaming industry. Unfortunately, the following versions of ‘Watch Dogs’ fell flat for me, only because the storylines were nowhere near as good as the first one.

Platinumed Miles Morales couple of days ago, now starting Immortal Fenyx Rising. Didn’t enjoy it the first hour(s), but as I gained some more abilities it became a lot more fun, and it’s growing on me. The game is “narrated” while you play and it reminds me of those two grumpy old guys in the Muppets. Funny stuff.

I enjoyed Fenyx Rising through the original story. Stepped away from it and tried to come back to it for the DLCs and just couldn't get back into it though.

It's funny, I am absolutely loving the main game but I can't make myself get interested in the DLC chapters (which I think are on sale).

  1. More of the vaults but way harder? No thanks.
  2. The exact same thing but just in a different reskin? Mildly interested.
  3. A top-down chapter where you can't save wherever you want and have to buy saves? Hell no.

Finished the single player campaign for Project Wingman last night. It's an interesting game - has some oddities, like the mission briefing voiceover doesn't match the subtitles in subtle ways - missing words added words, different words etc, and changes to the control mapping don't save between sessions, but overall it's an outstanding effort which gets the balance of flight sim to arcade shooter much better than other flying games, like Star Wars Squadrons, which overcomplicates things into no longer fun territory.

If you are looking for a relaxing, exploration game... check out Outer Wilds. I know its been out for a couple of years but I just discovered it. Besides that, replaying all the Halo's via MCC before stepping into Infinite.

‘Outer-wilds’ was underrated, partially due to lack of marketing. If I had to compare it, it’s like ‘No Mans Sky’, except more story driven, and without all the looting and micro-building.

I got COD Vanguard for Christmas and have been thoroughly enjoying it I must say. I'm getting better at it slowly. I like the old school feel of it all.

It got great reviews and I think they confirmed a sequel is coming. I didn't play it much but I need to give it another chance.
