Back4Blood for multiplayer and Skater XL for just max relax.

Waiting on my Razer Kishi so i can give Cod Mobile a real shot and Genshin Impact.

Available in VR? Would be awesome!

Been spending way too much time in No Man's Sky VR. So crazy to see how "big" everything is. I used to sit back on my couch and play NMS (normal) on a 75" TV; so I kinda get how big the ships are, the world is, the diplos... but running in VR up to a new ship and actually "seeing" how big it is.... well, it is indescribable. Not to mention the arrival of a "ground shaking" diplo.
In NMS how do you run, a run button or a movement projection?

Rich people run using something like Kat Walk C:
I'll wait another couple of years for this to better evolve, but I keep my eye on the latest tech. There was a guy that ran something like 13 miles in real life ( a continent in VR ) on a one of these treadmills, so very interesting to me. Weakness is sidestepping is not very intuitive.

Poor people like me just push forward on the oculus stick to walk:

I have an Occulus Rift, but some things have kep me out of serious VR:
  • Motion sickness- I can play some games, Lone Echo is truly an amazing VR experience. Flight sims, looking over your shoulder…🤢 The fact that you can look over your shoulder is incredibly cool but not the nausea.
  • Poor resolution.
  • Controller constraints- I routinely use 2 programmable Razer controllers, one is a gaming mouse with something like 30 buttons, and in some games I have used most of them, one particular role playing game I had 15 buttons programmed for a variety of potions, melee attacks and spells. And I have notes I look at until I have learned the buttons. Tough to do in VR. And I really dislike it when you have to pull up a screen in the middle of a fight to select a command.

  • Metro 2033 Redux (Shooter) Not too bad post post-Armageddon living in the Moscow underground transit tunnels. Ammo always seems to be in short supply which is a bit maddening. In the Ghost chapter with Khan, when he sends you alone to fetch two bombs and blow up part of the tunnel, run up the sides on the track as fast as your feet can take you (right side to get the two bombs) not the center platform area, because then you’ll be swarmed much less by the nasty mutant things.
  • World of Warships (Arena PVP)- Omg supposedly subs are worming their way into Random Battles as a result of Wargaming’s machinations. And they are trying to get people to buy $80-$130 ships, lol. I anticipate quitting this sometime, but right now you can still have fun in this PVP game if you don’t mind itty bitty invisible destroyers launching 20 torps at your ship in one salvo. All in the name of game balance, **** realism, we want you destroyer drivers to feel like your king of the world. Nope not kidding.
  • Unreal Engine (?)- Wait a second, I’m not playing a game, I’m learning how to make one. Checkout unrealengine.com, the engine is free, the mass of tutorials are free and polished, what are you waiting for? Of note, my mission is not to make a game , but eventually a VR habitat I can relax in. Why is learning the Unreal Engine so cool? Because the engine handles so much of this kind of environment and you don’t have to be a programmer to get it. :D
  • New World (MMORPG)- No way Jose, observed it and said not getting back on the mmorpg hamster wheel again. Kill and collect can only take you so far, and a never ending struggle to control territory? No thanks. I mean if you have your life to fritter away, have at it. 😜 Beautiful graphics though, with the bonus of bricking 3000 series graphic cards, lol, a new perspective on expensive games. :D
  • Greedfall (RPG)- complete. Reccomrnnded as long as you understand things get better after the first Boss Fight. Do not buy the DLC, The Vespe Conspiracy after you are done playing this. It’s really strange they expect you to buy this and play it in the middle of the story’s main quest, tough to do after you have finished the story, and when this story ends, it ends, you get a prolog. 🤔
  • Fallout 4- Retired for now, after 4 play throughs, look at the Valkyrie Content Mod. That is until I get the bug to play it again ( I miss Cait ;)) or the Fallout London DLC hits the streets.😜

NMS covers the controls pretty well. For example, you reach over your right should and press the "grab/grip" button to retrieve the multitool. Left hand by left ear to change HUD from combat to analysis to navigation. Feels very natural, like flipping the visor to a different mode.
Motion sickness is like everything else, practice your body will adapt.

Rift resolution: 1080 x 1200
Quest 2 resolution: 1832 × 1920
Not quite twice as good, but close.
The quest2 has one of the highest resolutions of all current VR headsets.
We may be getting an even better one in late October!

That’s a lot more than double the resolution (approx 3.5 million pixels vs 1.3 million)

The Rift has some advantages though - a screen for each eye rather than one big screen, so it’s easier to make fine adjustments to IPD, and OLED rather than LCD, so there’s no backlight bleeding through dark areas.

If there were more VR games I wanted to play I would definitely get rid of my Rift for a Valve Index, though. I wouldn’t consider another Facebook product.

Played out Paradise Lost in a single sitting

Paradise Lost

The war persisted for 20 more years only to end in flames when the Nazis launched nuclear missiles on most of Europe. In the aftermath, the heart of Europe remains shrouded in the mystery of complete destruction and deadly radiation, inaccessible to the rest of the world.

Very much a walking/graphic novel game that holds you via the storyline. It's OK on a cheap deal. Personally I found it to be a little too obvious with other indie games delivering far more impact with similar context. Short as in 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 hours.

Multiple endings yet not really worth the replay. Bottom line was an OK game for the genre and for what I paid. Want's be dark and illusive, equally looking to appeal too a more general audience.

It's not close to Conarium, which is another walking game that I can play over again, as is a far more engaging story and has a certain flavour.

TLDR Paradise Lost is an ok walking game, looks to build tension yet never really peaks to draw the player in.

Playing Skyrim SE via Wabbajack before modpocalypse strikes with the release of the 10th Anniversary Edition of Skyrim. Currently using a modpack called Living Skyrim 3 featuring 800+ mods in one crash-free (though not bug-free) package. The graphical mods included make the game look amazing, even though it's not completely possible to hide the game's age. There are also significant gameplay changes, like the introduction of or more realistic religions and prayer, a leveling system decoupled from skill advancement, actual statistics (Strength, Intelligence, etc.), a dodging system, and way too many other changes to mention. So far so good, but I am running into problems with multiple followers, which are almost mandatory given the increased spawns and difficulty.

Just finished the Echoes of the Eye DLC for Outer Wilds. Not as good as the main game (IMO!) but still very, very good.

Definitely a bit spookier than the main game too; though with clever level design the 'scarier' parts can generally be solved in multiple ways.

Just got GTA V working on my M1 MacBook Air, without any cracks or hacks. Unfortunately...this is one game I stink at. Still, it runs pretty well with the latest nightly build of Crossover 21.

Bright Memory Infinite (2021)
Bright-Memory-Infinite-Featured-Image-1210x642.png

I got Bright Memory Infinite free as I was an early adopter of the initial Bright Memory. Love the mix of ranged weapons & melee, you really have to think fast and use all your skills to progress. What impresses most is this is just a one man band, from what I know he built it all via Unreal Engine and has limited programming skills WOW...

There's a real captivation in the style of the graphics, combat is intense needing to switch from firearms to sword in a heartbeat all while traversing the field of play like Spiderman :) At times the graphics are easily AAA and the game has a unique flavour for an FPS unlike any other I've played. It's short, but not a push over by any means (for me).

As said the game has unique feel to it, the way the combat flows little similar to the newer Shadow Warrior games but a lot faster. Hoping the dev attracts more attention and can offer longer games with his/her style

Hey what GPU are you using to run this?

I have Battlefield 2042 on my "would like to try" list. I played BF1942 about 20 years ago when it was in beta and enjoyed it a lot, never seen so much teamwork in a game before. Teamwork on public servers went to hell after release (too many selfish kids playing I guess). Would like to see something similar in 2042, so I'll probably pick that up next week and give it a shot.
