OS Neutral What Game You Play'n?

Farming AI infantry bots with impeccable M5 Carl-Gustaf aim against my Little Bird on Battlefield 2042. Have developed an avoidance tactic to constantly circle at a decent altitude but their aimbot still gets me sometimes.

Anomaly is a full free game, you owe it to yourself :cool: This a world you can get lost in and thx to A-Life no playthrough is ever the same....

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is an odd duck, an FPS that's also a RPG all three official games are a challenging play. Anomaly more so being a fan produced game with more of the same that Stalkers like ;) No bones about it Anomaly is very polished, stable and a hard play, but the pay off :cool:

Yeah the graphics are dated, but the gameplay is where it's at, nothing comes close :cool: I'll be straight the game's will punish you for your errors, yet rarely feel unfair. Such is life in the Zone. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is one of the most immersive games I've ever played and once you get into it all other FPS games pale in comparison and now there's a multiplayer add-in ?

And if you are weak of heart, and lacking in determination as I am, Metro Exodus is a beautiful walk in the park on Normal difficulty in comparison, lol. :D

Alternatively Alien Isolation on hard ? I love this game's AI; one playthrough I was backing away from the beast only to accidently unleash it onto an innocent NPC. The Xenomorph did what it does best near verbatim to Lamberts demise in the original Alien, scarily so. Problem being I was in the same room?

  • Metro Exodus- Loving this game, post-apocalyptic Russia after WWIII, 3rd game of a series, your group finally discovers it is possible to live on the surface and not remain in the subway system. It’s got some scripting, cinematics, Normal difficulty is reasonable and as long as you take the time to explore every building you come across, you’ll have enough supplies to craft ammo, medical and gas mask filters. Don’t ignore the latter as there are still some situations were you are dead in the water, better described as dead on the ground without those filters.
    My critique is the AI humans are dumb as posts, if you wait, they will typically offer themselves up for you to shoot them. Also be aware this game has a karma system that effects the ending. I never shoot anyone who has surrendered to me, nor slaves, but I do knock the former out so I can loot them.
    Note, I was not that keen on the first game in the series, Metro 2033 Redux, too much dark and that is an older game.

  • Pathfinder: Kingmaker- RPG, not sold on this yet, turn based if you want, but with party dynamics, turn based makes sense as you want to tell all your party members what to do (I think). If turn based is turned off, will party members act in their own, anyone know? I’ll ask in the related thread.
  • World of Warships- still playing, still cursing on occasion. Right now the only PVP game I play. I’m exclusively in Battleships, continue to be disgusted with the game balancing Wargaming has done to make destroyers = battleships. Same old song, maybe I’ll get the resolve to drop this like I did World of Tanks. ?

Got sick last week, spent most time on the iPad with Stardew Valley :) good times.

Looking forward to Warhammer 3!

Right now I'm playing on my mac a reworking of the good old classics: Streets of Rage 4 and the Blizzard Arcade Collection.

Old Good S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Evolution :cool:

You want more of Shadow of Chernobyl? This is it, deeper more interlinking quests that don't feel like busy work. Graphic's keep the original flavour, yet for a 15 year old game are impressive, even the trees sway in the wind. Adds in a lot of the original concepts to SOC that the original dev's wanted to include, however ran out of time & money. Tremendous immersion into the game world, immediately draws you in. At points the game also has a wicked sense of humour ?

Is a full free mod game, can be challenging for those not familiar to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise. You start with next to nothing, need to think and act fast to put down Bandits and get their gear. Get better hardware early on by taking out a military outpost early in game. AI in this one is out for the kill, no bones about it. It's all about skill, tactics and survival. Has to be said tremendously rewarding to play as you need to think about the quests and how best to execute them.
