What have you done with a PowerPC today?

The HD died in the goodwill 17" PB, so tossed in an old 5400rpm i had laying around. Decided to do a dedicated Tiger install since nothing i own has it installed except for a G5 thats used solely for building InterWebPPC. Got bored with it quick (i still prefer Leopard), but i did theme it to wake it up a little.
Also found out why the hinges are sloppy on this thing. It's missing the 2 long screws on the bottom that attach to the hinges. If anybody has any spare powerbook screws laying around i will gladly buy them.

I’ll keep an eye out locally for disused and abused 17-inch PowerBooks, and should they come up, you can just have the screws or any other parts from them, as needed, for cost of shipping. That also goes for parts to other Macs I already have lying about.
Set up a Fiverr account and profile and intend to use my PowerPC Macs for the jobs I get. Upgraded the RAM on my iBook G4 (now at 1.5GB and flying) and set the wallpaper to Waves Bondi (high res), but I have to wait until I have a bigger screwdriver for the PowerBook G4. I have the correct size driver, but one of the screws on the RAM door is just stripped enough that it needs a bigger head to interface with the teeth.

And what job did you get, given you are from the same area I am from which jobs in Ukraine pay horribly.. I get about 25000 Ukrainian Hryven' a month. How many Rubles do you make a month ? Compared to USA, we are both poor nations.Hi, it's me again.

Introduced my iBook G3 to dark mode and filmed it using Links2 from the Terminal to find and play Youtube - thanks again for your amazing work on Links and PPCMC7 @alex_free

ive been getting my new ibook g4 set up. i ordered 1gb ram and a usb wifi adapter for it. using mac os 9.2.2 as the OS currently.
as a side note, i have so many macs now that they cant even fit in my signature, i had to remove the intel macs just to make my signature short enough

Finished installing Dual 500 CPU in one of my Cubes. I decided to upgrade instead of selling it, poor thing spent 10 years in my closet. I couldn't just sell it, somehow. It needs replacing one of USB sockets and more powerful VRM - I'll love to drive 22-23 ACD (which I have in a transit) with it. It will be perfect OS 9-only machine.
Yeah, I have GF2MX 64MB Twinview for this purpose.
BTW, even Sorbet runs decently with this card on a Dual 550 MHz GE (with 1GB RAM and SSD).

I had to shorten my signature even though it's just PPCs. Maybe it's just the line count limit instead of the character limit, though.as a side note, i have so many macs now that they cant even fit in my signature, i had to remove the intel macs just to make my signature short enough
