Otter browser should be ok for most sites. Its certainly better than netsurf or dillo. I havent messed with openbsd on ppc in years, but i believe otter is available to install.
Cheers

It looks nice, and has many features but kept crashing all the time for me, in 6.9 it wasn't there anymore. My guess is that there's a lot of things that will be gone for the powerpc, since they changed both compiler and linkerOtter browser should be ok for most sites. Kudos, and props for the Dreamcast. My favorite console to write code for ?View attachment 1948004
Behold the Mac mini tower, 3 years in the making!
Thanks but that was one of the first things I tried, along with InterWeb - no luck unfortunately
If I'd said I was using TFF that would have made it far too easy for them...at least they didn't tell me to turn my 'pc' off and on....Yesss, Windows... Windows 10.5.8...
I assume you didn't say what computer you're using, so I guess it was a good guess on their part.

'Customer Support' is just one of the many indicators that western civilisation is in it's death throesWhen Windows was my chief OS, I often dreaded phone calls to supposed tech support departments because it was likely that the assistance would be provided by a Script Monkey who'd ask me to carry out pointless tasks simply because they were mandated to do so and would refer me to the manufacturer of my computer for further assistance if the issue was beyond the scope of their pre-written instructions.
That's the original entry-level G5. Nice find. I'd probably slap the accompanying Jaguar build on it just to see what that's like on a G5Found a 7,2 1.6 G5 at Goodwill Electronics for 75$ 4GB ram and a 5200. Never had a G5. Will spend all weekend planning of ways to max and use this PowerMac.
I have some sata ssds lying around, I was thinking of doing a Raid 0 and maybe a Tiger setup or I also have a pile of 1TB spinners and a quad boot across some partitions of Jag to Leo would be cool to setup too. That's the original entry-level G5. Slap Tiger on itI was lucky enough to win a first generation Apple TV […]
That was my original intention but apparently there's no GPU support in Tiger (it must be beyond inclusion of the necessary kexts) which makes it unbearably slow.Slap Tiger on it
Any thermal issues? Mine got incredibly hot whilst I was trying it out.Oh hey I have one of those; though mine was advertised as a 120 GB model but only came with the 40. I wasn't gonna bother with the logistical nightmare of trying to explain this though. It currently sits in the server hallway running Debian and the RIPnet KDX server.
that was case for 10.4.8 when they first ran tiger on the AppleTV, however by 10.4.11 there was definitely GPU support, the issue I have run into is finding a 10.4.11 Kernel that actually has a working SSE2 emulator (you can use the 10.4.8 kernel in 10.4.11 but its something I still need to try)That was my original intention but apparently there's no GPU support in Tiger (it must be beyond inclusion of the necessary kexts) which makes it unbearably slow.
fun fact the CPU in the AppleTV is a Fully enabled 2MB Dothan Pentium M core on an Intel BGA663 package, the same as used on intels Ultra Mobile A110 CPUs (which only run at 800Mhz with 512K L2)The only Pentium M-based “Mac”
(The Core Solo Mini doesn’t count!)
The A110… that brings back memories! I'd rather have a Fujitsu U810 tho (I owned a Fujitsu UH900 a few years ago but that was an Atom machine.)so I have often wondered if you could pinch one of these CPUs off an AppleTV and slap it onto an A110 machine like a Samsung Q1 Ultra
