Three devices that I rotate weekly: 10.5 iPad Pro on 17.3.1, 7th gen. on 15.7, 7th gen. on 14.8. All are jailbroken vastly expanding capabilities of iPad OS. I won’t update until iPad OS is revamped and can utilize the power afforded by the M chips. I don’t expect this anytime soon since iPad OS has been treated as an afterthought for many years occasionally getting iOS hand me downs. Will be happy if Apple proves me wrong.

I have a iPad Mini 6 that I absolutely love, but looking to get one of the new Pros! I won't be taking it with me anywhere - I'll take my iPad mini with me out and about as it's still running great, but I'm looking forward to the bigger OLED screen for watching movies and being able to connect it to my monitor and use it for movie editing, something I've always wanted to try but never really could do on the tiny Mini screen. Also drawing!

That said, debating on 11" or 13". For drawing and doing laptop-esque work I'm leaning towards the 13, but that's going to be quite a jump from my Mini...

iPad Pro 2020 11” (wife) and IPad Pro M1 12.9 (2021). Passing 11” to my son, 12.9 to my wife and getting the 13” Pro 256 for myself.

Use it as a primary work device for basic tasks (MSFT apps outlook PowerPoint Word Excel), but use my ASUS G14 for coding, VMs, complex Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Combo is pretty effective - especially the cell on iPad makes the “stay connected, work anywhere” a reality. For photo and video editing (light weight stuff) the iPad is more than adequate and new one will be better. Don’t really need a 1 or 2 TB of data as use external drives.

2018 12.9 iPad Pro cellular with 256 GB. Each year I’ve passed on upgrading, but there’s enough positives here that I’m going to do it. Landscape mounted front camera helps, and all the additional speed, display, and other things.

On my 2018, which is frankly the longest I’ve held onto any tech like ever, the battery is getting worse and I have some yellow line borders from the age. So coupled with the improvements on this iteration and the age of the 2018 one upgrading made sense here. Now, the hope is the new one lasts 3-4 years.

I also have 2018 12.9 iPad Pro that is suffering from a pretty terrible battery now. I have a very slight yellow tinge but nothing awful. I just struggle to justify the £1,300 price for the base 13in Pro. I plan to wait for WWDC to see if iPad OS gets any nice new features. If not, I think I will run my 2018 iPP into the ground.

IPP 2017 (10.5 inch) here. It's (my) pain points:

- intermittently unresponsive to touch in a specific area, making it hard to type most of the time
- white spots
- battery pretty bad

Otherwise it's fine, I don't do any real work on it. Mostly just browsing, watching Youtube and reading. But I really like the 120 Hz display.

I could probably just use my Macbook for this so might not get another iPad at all.

Currently have 2 iPads, but only using 1

11” iPad Pro (2020) -128GB with the A12Z selling to a friend as not used for years
12.9” iPad Pro (2021) - 256GB with M1 is my daily home device

Buying the
13” iPad Pro (2024) - 512GB with M4

I dont really need to upgrade, but I want to. The screen, camera placement + the fact I don’t expect upgrades for at least 1.5 years if not 2 years is why I’m upgrading now.

planning to keep the M1 as a fall back device and maybe as a 3rd monitor when using universal control with my M1 iMac and 2 iPad Pro’s
How do you like the 13 over the 11? How is using the 13 around the house and typing on your lap and stuff. How is portability? I have the 11 and have been considering the 13 but the 11 is so nice to carry around and it seems like the 13 doesn’t sit on the lap as well with the keyboard.

Currently, I have the 2020 11“ pro and am considering one of the Pros just not sure on the size. I really just want the screen and it will be nice that it’s a little lighter.

2021 M1 iPad Pro 12.9", 256 GB, Magic Keyboard, and Apple Pencil 2. It still does everything I need, so I don't plan to upgrade for another couple generations. I'd purchased it as a laptop replacement after I gave my 2015 MacBook Pro to my dad, but I missed macOS, so I bought an M1 MacBook Pro. I use both of them daily, for different things.

Family has multiple 10.2" 9th-gens with no plans to replace.

The physical home button is a requirement. Will keep these devices until after they fall completely off support.

11" M1 iPP 1TB w/ Cell. Eventually, I'd like to upgrade to an 11" M4 iPP. I'd actually love to get a second 13" iPP (M1 or newer) just to have around the house. I tried that size, and loved it for some things, but ultimately found it too bulky as my ONLY iPad.

I was a mini user for a number of years and now love the 11" form-factor. The size/weight of 13" I just couldn't handle.

We have several different iPads scattered around the house. No plans to upgrade. We barely even use the iPads anymore.

I have the 11 3rd gen pro 128gb M1

I recently upgraded the iPhone to the Max, from the regular size.

At the time, I of course, wondered about the size, will it be to big, blah blah blah, well it is not too big, I love it and couldn’t imagine going back to the smaller size. No issues what so ever.

so, I’m figuring, go big or go home and am getting the 13 inch, 256gb

I also just figured out that the 3rd gen pro i have, could have gotten the 16gb memory if I upgraded to 1tb, so apparently 8gb is fine, as I have not noticed any need for more memory.

So i’m out the door with the lowest priced. $1299.

Hope it’s not going to be too big. 😀

iPad 9th generation my weekend workhorse it suits me just fine right now will hang on to until Apple hopefully brings the new iPad 11 out later this year and finally gets rid of the 64 gig option and replaces it with the 128 as the base model!

I owned the 3rd generation iPad Air (2019) since launch, no plans to upgrade yet. However, the battery isn't that great anymore. (Lasts about 4-5 hours) If I upgraded, it would be the $499 CAD iPad 10th gen or the 11th gen if Apple refreshed the iPad with a chip upgrade (Maybe the A15-A16) because I feel anything more than that would be a waste of $$$ for my basic needs.

Currently on year 6 with my 10.5" iPad Pro. Gonna sell it locally. Already ordered an M4 11" iPad Pro (256 GB) in silver w/cellular. Got the white Magic Keyboard as well and a Smart Folio in denim.
