I have a 7 and will be upgrading to the 11 (new XR). Very much looking forward to it.

I'd like to keep my 8+ until Apple eliminates the notch and releases a less expensive phone with a fingerprint scanner option, but I may be waiting awhile on that.

Then again, that's okay. It was nice not having to upgrade for almost 2 years with my 7+.

exactly what i think to do wait.. because i don’t think apple will take away the notch and add a finger scanner and also the sizes of screens are bigger and bigger i like the size of iphone 7, 6 and 8

My carrier in the UK is 02. Looking at their website the updated picture of their 5G coverage is blue with blue being good. Yellow is less good. I live in London. My contract ends in October 2019. If the new iPhones in September 2019 have no 5G I assume Apple will lose many O2 London customers, probably me included.

iPhones won't feature 5G until next year. September 2020. It's very unlikely and everybody says 2020.

I have 6s and I will probably upgrade. The battery life is really bad... but the phone is still ok actually. The camera is fine, the performance is fine, iOS13 runs great. However after almost 4 years I just want treat myself with something new / more exciting.

I'm not sure if I'm gonna buy the "Pro" version, because I have realized that if I compare my Mac / iPad / iPhone usage (during the day), the iPhone is on the last spot. Maybe it will change with the bigger screen, who knows.

The one thing that might get me to upgrade (from a 7 Plus) this fall if is the new camera is as good as (or better than( the Huawei P30. The camera is the only feature I do care about, as the phone has gradually been my main (and most of the time only) travelling camera.

So, can the new 11 (pro) beat this? Huawei P30: https://www.dxomark.com/huawei-p30-pro-camera-review/

5x optical and excellent low light performance are (high) on my wish list. (Thought not high enough to change to Android.)

For comparison, here's the score for my old 7 plus: https://www.dxomark.com/apple-iphone-7-plus-camera-review-tested-new-dxomark-mobile-protocol/

PS! I know that Samsung has - at least - one phone with better camera score than the P30, but that is a phablet, IMO.

I have an iPhone 6s, I’m thinking of upgrading to the iPhone XS or iPhone 11 Pro (equiv. of X/XS). A recommendation is that you do not upgrade your iPhone every year, since you will waste money on practically the same phone. That is why Apple didn’t sell the XS WITH the X, otherwise the X would outsell the XS since the XS is the same thing but better. I will update to the 11 Pro in 2020. I will still get the the iPhone 12 (2020 iPhone) in 2021 since it has the iPhone SE style. Afterward I will wait until the next iPhone has a big change in it that everyone will want to buy. (EG, no one is really buying the 11 series since the 2020 iPhone will be the best iPhone on sale since the 6).

XS Max 256. The 11 will have to really wow me, for me to want to upgrade. Having an iPhone since opening day June 29th, 2007, It would be my first time I didn't upgrade. Not sure what I would want different. Maybe pen support, but it would need to be like wow, thats cool.

Really was hoping to hang on to my 6S PLUS until the 2020 11 Pro, and just got the $30 battery replacement last December to give it 2-3 more years of life; but I'm now having a hardware issue where it's stuck in Headphones mode, so I've got to bite the bullet and upgrade this year.

Probably now gonna spring for the 11 Pro Max, due to wanting the best cameras; but have been toying with the idea of getting the (soon to be even cheaper) 8 Plus, just to get me by until the 2021 11S Pro rev. I'm pretty much out of the 3.5"mm headphone game now, and I'd rather have TouchID.

I just wish I felt more thrilled about the tech that I'm throwing $1200 at. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

8 plus and likely to go for the replacement for the xs max. I'm hoping the bump up the minimum storage to 128gb. I have 256 in my 8plus but haven't used anywhere near it, but only 64gb would worry me for the next few years.

Currently have an iPhone X, no plans to upgrade but would consider moving to a new iPhone SE-sized device w/headphone jack.

They won’t. It’s gone. As long as the AirPods exist, and provides more internal room for battery space/other technology, there’s no place for the 3.5 mm Jack to come back. Apple isn’t going to reverse that decision, that’s one thing you can be for sure of.

iPhone X currently. Likely to upgrade. Have been upgrading every 2 years since iPhone 3G. Just debating if I should trade the iPhone X into apple while they are still giving $400 for it or not.

Xr and gona upgrade to 11R.
This is what I am thinking. Like the larger screen - the LCD really does not bother me as I rarely watch videos on my iPhone XS and photos look great on my iPad mini 5 which has the approximately the same pixel density and contrast ration. And the Ultra wide lens would be nice but not really important to me. What I am curious if the two lenses on the iPhone 11 (supposedly the name of the XR replacement) and the sensor give the same "improved" photo quality that is supposedly coming based on rumors.

I recently downgraded from the iPhone Xs to a more convenient iPhone 8. I don't need the "bus stop" at the top, let alone the Face-id which was more of a hassle in situations where the Touch-id flows like butter.

I tend on keeping this at least until the next release of iPhones in 2020, if not longer.
