I watched Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol last night. Pretty awesome movie until the end after the sub launched that what appears to be an SS-N-23 from a Delta IV. After that it was completely bogus, but still a good movie.

I am watching this movie now

I watched 21 Jump Street last night because I heard it was absolutely hilarious. It was not. There were some funny parts but I didn't find myself laughing too much.

Alien and Aliens.

HMV had the bluray boxset on sale for £10

So far this series is brilliant. Alien in particular impressed me, some scenes were beautifully shot. Ridley Scott knows what he is doing.

I'll add that James Cameron also knows what he's doing although I think the theater release is much better than the extended version which gives too much info. As the Marines are descending onto LV-426, it's much better to wonder what happened on LV-426 then to have it all illustrated for you. :)

Regarding Alien movies, some friendly advice, stop right there. It's best to ignore the next 3 Alien travesties (after Aliens) and go see Prometheus. Although I can't guarantee a great viewing experience the promos are spectacular.

I watched this a few weeks ago not a bad film, and just as good the 2nd time around.

Saw Men in Black III and it didn't disappoint. Just as good as the other two, if not better. Definitely liked the story line and there were a few comedic points throughout the movie. Go see it!

Rewatching the Aliens series ahead of Prometheus.

I was a little kid/teen when the movies came out and while I remember the main points, I need to brush up.

Oh and finally watched "The Avengers" this weekend. Forgot how hot Chris Hemsworth was and then went home and watched "Thor" again". Don't judge me.

;)

I've got unrealistically high expectations for this movie...

Just watched Quantum of Solace- Possibly the best Bond film ever made. Of course you'd have to also watch Casino Royale! ;)

I always thought that would make a neat TV show...kind of like a modern Quantum Leap.

I could see that happening.

It was a little difficult to wrap my analytical brain around the story at first, but as usual, I just ended up telling myself to stop it and willingly go into the suspension of disbelief. After that it was a fun movie, predictable, but fun.

Battleship. Incredibly stupid, but entertaining,

I've been debating seeing this in the theater. Do the humans prevail in a semi-realistic manner? No spoilers please...

I project that Snow White and the Huntsman will be our next theater movie... kind of a crappy movie poster though.

Semi-realistic, yes. :p

Lol, thanks!

We saw Snow White and the Huntsman, a very nicely choreographed movie with nice visuals. However if there is a weak point, I'd say it is Kristen Stewart who imo was kind of a limp noodle. And I found the climax to be underwhelming. The elves were great including Ian McShane who they magically shrunk down... :)

The trailer is a very good example of how marketing can make a product appear more substantial than it is.

Saw MIB3 with a friend the other day.

It's the kind of movie I'll happily watch at home on a quiet afternoon, but nothing brilliant.

Also kind of disappointing that they decided to go with a Pitbull song at the end instead of the original theme song (I almost puked when I heard "Mr Worldwide!" instead of Will Smith)

Just finished watching The Raid:Redemption.

I was more than impressed

I went to see two movies today the second of which was....

Just finished watching The Raid:Redemption.

I was more than impressed

I was extremely impressed too. Stylish, well paced, amazing action - can't go wrong with this one. Up there with the classic Asian action movies like 'Hardboiled'. I give it 4 1/2 out of 5.

earlier in the day I went to see this:

Visually Prometheus is an amazing movie (although I was annoyed not to find a cinema locally screening in 2D... I think the 3D detracts from the quality of the visuals).

In terms of plot, character development and most importantly suspense, it was completely lacking. Sad that the Ridley Scott who created such a dark, subtle and suspenseful world in Blade Runner should forget how to make a decent movie. Disappointing.

3 out of 5.
