I mostly turn off most of them and need to catch up on older ones
since I rarely went to he cinema unless I took someone
as I did with Home Alone with a nice Christie K in 1990 when that movie was released.

I recommend that Amy documentary, she could sing and was talented which I did not know.
A great loss of a beautiful voice, sadly due to the worst excesses...

some people take themselves way too seriously.
merry xmas 😇
Actually I completely understand what you said. There is a little of what you are talking about but mostly its like a vanilla type feminism which in itself isn't so bad. I was totally vibing with the Ken character. It really is worth a watch.

Lawrence of Arabia (1962)

"There is nothing in the desert and no man needs nothing." (Prince Feisal) Lawrence of Arabia is a timeless classic, a complex weaving epic based on T.R. Lawrence's actions and the events of the day. While a lengthy watch the film never drags fully engaging the audience to the end.

Tremendous performances, direction and cinematography a film to watched by all at least once if not more...

Wonderful epic but at 3½ hours make sure either your bladder is up to it or know where the pause button is. 😉

Man on Fire (2004)

Excellent crime drama with a good helping of action. Directed by the late Tony Scott, ticks all the boxes. One of Denzel Washington's best performances, if not the best. Aside from what's written on the tin a deep emotional bond also comes into play. The rest you'll have to watch :)

Recently watched Dr Strangelove again, and Colonel Jack D. Ripper had me laughing out loud. Come here and feed me boy!

And also enjoyed a long time favourite of mine, a film called Explorers. I watched it when I was young and it left a very warm impression on me, it's a lot of fun, a great adventure for younger people but I keep coming back to it now as I just enjoy the story so much. Starring Ethan Hawke and River Phoenix.

One film I want to see is the new Wonka film. Anyone else interested in it? It looks a lot of fun.

Classic, really with a stunning cast and so many great moments. Like the scene with Omar Sherif appearing at the horizon - the scene in the British officer's mess and my fave when Lawrence saves the dude lost in the desert "Nothing is written" only later...

Matewon (1987)-The perfect example of why unions exist. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the wife and I enjoyed it and the story it tells. As the primary character, union organizer says, you men are just tools, the company uses until you break, then they hire another. What is despicable is that they were not paid in money, but Company Script, so they could not save any money, only purchase items at the company store which prices rose and fell at the convienence of the company.

James Earl Jones, Chris Cooper

There is a way to watch this for free, YouTube Channel on your TV or tablet, not YouTubeTV. :D

What was amazing about the documentary was
During one drunken concert, Amy‘s left arm tattoo took over the microphone and started singing.
I think during the Ljubljana show?

Recently watched The Thing. Have seen it before but a long time ago. It was great. As an introvert, I kinda like the idea of living in a remote science station like that, so long as there is a generous supply of whisky and cigarettes, oh, and flame throwers! Could do without the shape shifting aliens mind.

I like all three films, but overall the 1982 The Thing is by far the best

One of my all time favorites-- I'm a sucker for good characters, and this one is full of them, but the satire here is so rich. I saw it at a time after the between the Cold Wars where there was some distance between the stress and the humor but it sounds like it also landed quite well in the moment.

Have you ever seen a commie drink a glass of water?

Watched the new Indiana Jones and the Dial Of Destiny. Really enjoyed it, Harrison did very well in the stunts for his age, and they must have used some serious CGI to make him younger too in the film.
But it was much better then the last film, it was more like the first 3, and I'm so glad they kept the same thumping noises when he punched people from the original films too lol.
