85% from coconut (which means over 90% from Apple) is definitely not a premature wear of the battery at 400 cycles, it's even pretty good...In my case, I've been using and iPad Pro 10.5 2017 since lauch day, the battery is prematurely degraded with 400 cycles only as Coconut Battery reports 85% of capacity remaining. Also the very annoying "bright spot" next to the home button. I will jump to the next model without a doubt. (And I like more Face ID than Touch ID)
I guess you meant A14X..Would Apple equip it with an A15x?
Given the 2020 iPad Pro is competitive with the A14, I’d think they’d need something more than just mini-LED.
No I actually meant the next gen processor.I guess you meant A14X..

Yes I’m aware of that. The 12z is competitive with the A14. Yes slower on single core but faster in multi-thread calculations.2020 iPad Pro has the A12Z chip not A14.
A15 would probably be on par with A14X at best, so it would need to be A15X, but more importantly that would mean waiting at least until October 2021, since A15, rumored to be on 3nm, will probably go into mass production this summer at the earliest (and I not even sure A15X would be ready at the same time...). Not impossible, but given that A12Z is roughly on par with A12X from over 2 years ago, A14X would be enough of a differenciator, definitely much more than A12Z was...Yes I’m aware of that. So would an A14x be enough of a differentiator from an A14? That why I’m wondering if they need something more.
I don’t think they’ll ever do this, because it will stop people from having to buy both a Mac and an iPad. I agree a singular Device would be ideal.I’ve got a 512gb + cellular 2018 12.9”. Right now the only thing that will get me to buy new in 2021 is Big Sur. Yep, I’ve preached iPad for years. It’s time for Apple to step up and bring parity in usability for hardware that have almost identical costs. I’m tired of the limitation of iPad OS on their iPad Pros.
Used plunc and got around £700 for my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9 cellular 256GB, and Apple Watch SS gen 4 ready for new iPad Pro, if it doesn’t release in March I’m going to be very upset 😂
Ah right ok, plunc seemed to offer the most, decent service as well.Seems decent but 2 week lock-in on prices
£402 for a 4G 256GB 12.9 Gen. could probably get more on eBay but not sure it’s a risk worth taking. Apple replaced it in Jan 21 so it’s a 2 month old refurb
