It would be awesome if Apple were to bring their own software suit to the iPad Pro, apps like Final Cut Pro X would be great. I think with the addition of the Magic Keyboard, they would be great on the iPad Pros.

Even if Apple just update the processor and nothing else, I need to buy one this year as my 2017 iPad Pro is not lasting all day with the battery dying about half way through the day. That's still really good considering I use it every day. My 2017 iPad Pro will be passed down to mother when I upgrade to the 2021 version. I'm hoping for Mini-LED display as I think that would be great for watching Netflix, Disney Plus and so on during down time.

Does anyone know if having a Mini-LED (that is rumoured) will also help with video editing? I hope it will when it comes to Luma Fusion or if they do decide to bring Final Cut Pro X to the iPad Pro's later int he year.

A new processor. I’m still using an iPad Air 2 that’s on its last legs. I’ll take pretty much whatever they give us unless the processor is somehow still slower than the current gen Air. And if that’s the case, I’ll buy an Air anyway. They’ve got me.

I know pro apps were rumoured last year so I can see iOS 15 being that. IOS 14 was mainly an iPhone OS update. I can see iPad getting more of the attention this year

That would be awesome if Apple were to do that with the next IPadOS update. I really think a new iPad Pro with more Ram mini-Led and a faster processor would more than handle Final Cut Pro X, Logic and so on.

I use my 2018 12.9 all day everyday as a medical student. I admittedly don’t do anything that remotely pushes the processing power of the A12X, however, if the 2021 works with the Magic Keyboard and has 8GB of RAM to undoubtedly support the growing capability of iPadOS, I’ll probably upgrade and keep that through residency. If the 2021 doesn’t work with the Magic Keyboard, I’ll likely not upgrade right now as I can’t justify the $350 accessory for just a years usage.

8GB of RAM, 256Gb as a starting capacity, not paltryish 128Gb, and perhaps longer battery life as well, because M1 Macbooks are kickin' it!
Cheaper pencil and magic keyboard.

If they dont boost it to 8GB of RAM, I might as well stick to my ~2 years old 10.5 Pro and not throw my money onto 2020 Pro, tho I would like to have 12.9 one.

I don't see 256GB, any more battery life or anything cheaper. 8GB RAM is not only thing I expect out of what you mentioned...

Want to have a 11" iPad Pro/16GB RAM/1TB SSD that enables macOS Desktop mode. By me, I want to decide how I can decide now, if I want to use Pencil or a Trackpad with iPadOS! Sidecar with the Keyboard and Trackpad from my Mac shows me, that it's usefull for me. But I don't want to be limited using it at home.

If Apple integrates a new wireless display system, that transmit display to a special dongle with HDMI connector, this iPad would be a perfect beast. This would be an instant buy, a no brainer.

Gonna be a while until you see 1TB of Ram 🤣

I'm on the iPhone Upgrade Program and upgrade my phone every year. As for my iPad I've still got my 2018 iPad Pro. I love the size, speed, Face ID, etc. I can't think of a new feature that would make me want to upgrade.

The 2021 ipad pros will most likely have the A14X bionic, its almost a given, unless they go one step further and include the M1 chip. The Air 4 is great by the way, got one myself.

I feel like apple is a victim of its own success at times.

The IPad Pro 2018 was so good that I really can’t think of much else they can do to make it any better.

The air would probably be fine. But I keep mine for so long, I wanted to go ahead and max out whatever I got.

..and you think Apple is dumb enough to kill off the need for a MacBook AND an iPad? How hard is it to carry around a 1 pound tablet with a 2.6 pound laptop? lol. I remember when a laptop weighed 10 pounds not too long ago, kids these days  They will never make the iPad fully useable just like a MacBook, but you can always dream...
Maybe so, but the fact that MacOS now has the ability to natively run iPad apps says something different is happening. Whether that’s moving towards a hybrid tablet that can be docked to be a full computer with monitor, keyboard and mouse, I don’t know. But it sure seems to make it a possibility and one I’d like.

As far as I can tell, my 2018 iPad Pro works about exactly as well as the day I bought it. And they have added functionality (trackpad support). Maybe I don't push my iPads enough, but its hard for me to see exactly how they can improve upon the iPad besides a screen and spec bump.

Once I see the new display and have a hands-on session with it. My 2017 iPP is still working great with only a minor bleed on the bottom left (sitting on table with smart keyboard folio).

I’ve never filled the 512GB even with all my photos and music library stored on it. Going big last time saved my bacon but did wait for it a while.

If the price is right going the middle of the road with 512GB, I may save more this time around with a huge gain in features/performance. Just want to play with a new one outside of an Apple Store before I buy.

The 2018 model was the biggest iPad leap ever. I would only replace my 12.9 if the 2021 model is significantly lighter.

I know it's not happening, but... a 15 inch screen. With a compatible Magic Keyboard. I know the price would be astronomically high for the combo, but I would buy it in a heartbeat. My workflow is such that I have found I can get everything done on my iPad Pro 11 inch with Smart Keyboard Folio and Apple Pencil, the same as on my 13 inch MacBook Pro. But after using both I've found that I want a bigger screen (at least 15 inches), with the portability and hybrid capabilities of an iPad--I love being able to snap in the iPad to the keyboard to get work done and also being able to quickly snap it off the keyboard and use the iPad by itself for entertainment/leisure/media consumption.

I have the current 11" iPad Pro and I find it so cumbersome that there are days where I find myself actively disliking it. Release an iPad Pro Mini (probably won't happen) and I'll be first in line!
