As hyped as I am for the smaller iPhone 12, it’s the price that will most likely be a deal breaker. Especially Canadian dollar pricing.

That phone after taxes will probably be just under $1000, yeah no thanks. Will wait it out.

I’m kinda put off by the bezel brought back from The 5s On the new 12 lineup

I honestly hope those designs are just mocks ups and not the real thing!

I like the £650 price not £700
Dislike no accessories included

the Smaller 12 looks really cheap looking too especially the camera area back !

After reading that list, absolutely none of those would stop me from getting the 5.4. Of course, same size notch and smaller battery would be a little annoying. But I don't think anything at all is a deal breaker at this point. Face ID with the mask accommodations in iOS 13 is alright in preference to the temperamental Touch ID. All I can think of would be a Note 7 battery fiasco.

I have got to get an iPhone in a more manageable size for handling and it would be more usable for me. It is the perfect size and the rumoured non-Pro, XR/11-like specs are the perfect spec level. OLED like the XS will be great but I would not have minded Apple's LCD. Pro features are poor value for the money after having had a highly priced XS for 2 years.

Edit: clarifying

It’s ugly but it can be gotten used to I think. It’s not going to be around forever.
Yes the notch and face id was the big dealbreaker for me, so i have been sticking with the classic touch id iphones until now, but i cant wait any longer. Its high time for me to finally get a modern all screen iphone, so am getting the iphone 12 5’4 model even if the notch is the same size (rumours were that it was shrinking but looks like it wont 😔).

No USB-C would probably stop me.

I would have to make some major changes with my lightning integration (I.e.-Airpods, iPads, iPod, of my iPhones, ect.) If I was a first time user, then my transition wouldn’t be an issue, given the lack of other connected products.

Don’t need one. Have a 8+ that is paid off. Like the camera results and it does what I need. Same goes for my iPad Pro 10.5. I am a happy camper.
This. I would very much like an iPhone 12 Pro MAX, but I truly don’t need one right now.

When I have bought a pair of iPhone 11 Pro Max 2 weeks ago and I dont like squarish phone design on ip12

Tom's Guide recently had prices for the 12 range including US$699 before tax for the 5.4 128GB which works out to about AU$1095 after Australian tax.

This is acceptable for me, especially as I prefer carrier plans and especially as this will be a phone for the very long term. Probably an easy AU$70-80 a month and then $20-30 after the contract.

Is it not going to have a 120hz display? I thought rumors showed it did which is why it was delayed till october

I wouldn't get too excited, the current iPhone 11 goes for $699 in the US but goes for $1,199 in Australia on the Apple website. I'd be expecting the same price conversion again if the iPhone 12 gets listed for $699 US.

On an aside note, I already listed my "What would stop me for iPhone 12"
but I wanted to add a post for "What would stop me for Arm MacBook 12"

If they come out with an:

Arm MacBook 12" and has 5G LTE, in a heartbeat
Arm MacBook 12" and has 2 ports, I'll get that pig
Arm MacBook 12" and just has 1 port, I'M OUTx!!!!

If anyone cares...
Just had to because IMHO you seriously DON'T want 1 port... you will get pissed...

The fact that i lost my 11 pro max and had to buy the 11 pro again so I’ve already spent too much money on iPhones this year.

I usually buy and do the upgrade every year with the iPhone upgrade plan. This year I upgraded my tv to an OLED to get ready for the PS5. I just seeing it's a huge waste of money to upgrade annually just because "it's cool to have"

This year they making all of us pay an extra month which pretty sure they won't discount from the new phone since the 12 got delayed potentially.

I want it to be USB-C and to include a fast charger. I can care less about the earbuds I usually sell them for $10-15 on craigslist anyway. If they don't switch to USB-C or include the same fast charger as the pro got last year that's real crappy on their part especially if they stop providing one. Instead of selling me a $700 phone then making me pay $50 for a charging brick. Why not be human and put it as part of the actual price. It's like when the phone company says $40 a month then charges you $20 in fees and taxes.

also if it is not OLED I am going to skip it till next year. In 2020 a 700 phone should be OLED. 5g is nice but I doubt I will have it in my area before sep 2021. So not really an item I care about currently

It’s time for the notch to be retired. If not, it should be much smaller. The camera bump needs to go as well.

Will be problematic in current pandemic times to sell current phone (pro max) as I tend to do it locally to get best prices. So may be will have to wait for quite long to get the iPhone 12 (only if they can lure me, which Apple does ultimately every year :p )
