I think for people who like a dark UI going back to a "more balanced" UI would be a bad compromise. The people I know who use dark mode (not many) do that because they like it dark. Mountain Lion was not dark it was more colourful. I actually think that the macOS UI is in a good state right now. Apple brought back more shadows to the "flat" design. For me the bright UI with almost no dividing lines and nuanced use of shadows feels very light and clear.
Yeah what's up with that?...
- Fix the annoying bug where the App Store resets the "allow in-app ratings and reviews" back to checked. I uncheck it on every device and somehow a week later it reappears as checked. It annoys me when apps ask for reviews. If I wanted to review an app, I should choose to do so on my own instead of having constant pop-ups. I will say a Hail Mary if this is the only bug fixed in macOS 13 and no other features or bugs are addressed. Yes, it is that annoying.

"Check out how the drop shadow of the active window really makes it pop out of the screen, so at a glance you can instantly find the active window."Also would be great if Apple could post guided tours for new macOS versions. They are very helpful for those who just bought a Mac or switched from Windows.
not really angry (just mildly annoyed). and i am always consisitent (or, consistently difficult).? No need to get angry. I just felt that your statement was inconsistent with your actions, because you always try to give a reality check to the wishes people express here, even though that's not really the point.
Stability, efficiency, bug fixes, better quality control. No changes to anything that isn't in one of those four categories.
And probably everyone should decide for themselves which of these looks easier on the eyes:
Mountain lion
You can already sign into multiple iCloud account, albeit not for messages. If you go to System Preferences -> Internet accounts, you can sign into additional iCloud accounts as secondary accounts, which support Contacts, Calendar, Mail, Reminders, and Notes.Ability to sign into multiple iCloud accounts. I have one for work and one for personal use. Would be nice to use Messages with both accounts so I can respond to messages on my computer instead of needing to use my work phone.
Yup agreed, all the new **** is stuff I just turn off. Everything else are what I call marketing features. Eye candy which catch people's attention, but don't really do much. Like do people really use Siri to do stuff?? Seems like a waste of time or just entertainment. ?♂️Real features. Haven't seen them for many years already.
Maybe we could see something like this when they can finally get rid of supporting Intel code and have a AS Mx only version.Absolutely nothing. Please do a “snow leopard” release and just fix/optimize everything ???
What’s wrong with dragging them to trash?
While Apple's Aperture app wasn't the greatest in terms of features, it was still an image editing app and I miss some of its features that were never incorporated into Photos. Because of this I returned to GIMP as my photo editor (personally, I'm not a professional photographer and don't require the full feature set of Photoshop, so GIMP satisfies my requirements and is also available under Linux). Two things:
...
Photos need to add robust editing tools. If Apple can eventually get to the level of Photoshop, that would be nice but add some features that the pixel already has, such as removing the background or removing a defect in the photo, etc.

I, too, have pitched what I believed were simple improvements (not just bug fixes) on the beta feedback, but I've never had any acknowledgement or seen any adoption -- so I'm impressed that you have!...
i have my own wish list for apple, and have pitched things on the beta feedback form, in the apple store, and twice when i had apple support help me out. and one thing i asked for for YEARS made it to the iphone. so... who knows?
I'm not sure who thought having to go back so many times was a good idea but they should be fired or moved to where they are not making any decisions. It seems to me that they always try to fix what they do not need to fix and leave what is broken unfixed.Overhauled Music app, so it is less like an awkward internet browser. Better search functions, so that after browsing the Store I don't have to click "back" fifty times to be able to search my own library.
this could be said (and has been said) during the release of every OS, ever. every OS has bugs, other specific issues for some; changes some people think is better, that others think makes things worse.I’d like to see more bug fixes than new bugs ?
In all honesty I will probably avoid the next macOS for as long as humanly possible. No telling what they’ll break next.

there's no perfect moment, where everything 'just works' and every single user is happy.
