1) more widgets
2) ability to use the drop down notification centre at lockscreen
3) I guess jailbreak would fix a few of the other things

I've noticed a few spots of lag, like post-lockscreen, Plants vs. Zombies Zen Garden, occasional app switching. I'd gladly take a reduction in lag over any new feature, it matters that much to me.

-get rid of the new store button in Music. Too easy to accidentally press.
-"clear" in notifications should clear the app badge too
-hate having to unlock rotation when watching a video in landscape. Locked rotation should lock videos in landscape, not portrait.
-make any song an alarm sound
-widget API for devs

Remove Twitter Entirely

I for one have no use for twitter, so I wish they would let me completely turn it off so I don't have to see it in menu options.

Bring lyrics back on the iPad music player! Actually, I hope this is in 5.01.

+1 for more widgets. I really think they should allow third party apps to design widgets for the notification center. I'd love a now playing widget and scrolling sports scores. Might have to JB if these options are offered.

1) Today's calendar events on the lock screen (I literally cannot believe we still do not have this option)
2) Third party app access to notification center / widgets
3) Option to show all current notifications on lock screen
4) Location based reminders for 3GS owners (no reason this is not possible)
5) iMessage option to show who has iOS devices and who does not

OH
1) Disable spotlight (am I the only one who never uses it?).
2) Select what notifications you want on the notifications screen. I don't use the calendar much so I'd like it removed.
3) Shortcut to the brightness, wi-fi toggle and bluetooth toggle. I SO already miss this from when I did the jailbreak.
4) Notifications on the lock screen. If I get a text or email, I want to be able to glance at the lockscreen to see if it's something I need to respond to quickly. Again, a jailbreak functionality I already miss dearly.

Option to have Notification Center automatically appear when waking phone up or pressing Home button.

1) I use Spotlight on a daily basis. HOwever, you can disable Spotlight with a JB app.
2) I think you can toggle The setting in "Notifcations" to not have Calender displayed in the Notification Center, yes?
3) SBSetting; Jailbreak required
4) I concur. Or use LockInfo or Intelliscreen when Jailbreak is available.

Bring lyrics back on the iPad music player! Actually, I hope this is in 5.01.

The lyrics thing is a huge issue on iPad (they seem to be there on iPhone), and in general the music app is a big floating turd. Lyrics there's no excuse for putting that back in 5.0.1, but they need to make lots of improvements to the rest of the music app as well. There's a whole thread about all the issues with it.

you should never need to. they don't run, they suspend. so they don't affect you.

But with the four finger swipe to change apps, they still show up there even if you haven't used them in ages. I'd love to be able to kill all the background apps.

around/about
I'd like to add that some sort of indicator in the status bar for when you have something in notification center. By indicator i mean something like the Play arrow for music playing or the tilted arrow for location. How about an ! for when you have unread notifications or (!) for when you have new notifications so that you can essentially turn off the banners and popups for everything and the phone wont bother you but you will see that ! and know that you got a message or something.

This x1000.

To be able to unlock your phone like you can on the droid with a dot-dot pattern type thing. I really don't like using a code.

My Prediction:

5.1: Siri and Notification Center widget API's for developers. Turn Newsstand on/off (just like Nike+ iPod and Facetime), Clear All button in Notification Center. iCloud: Delete individual photos from photo stream, merge Apple ID's. Oh and lots of bug fixes. More of a refining sort of update, fixing bugs and things people didn't like (Newsstand and Photo Stream)

5.2: More fonts in Notes, more photo editing tools, scrollable folders, Reading List saves articles for offline reading, create Groups in Contacts, brightness bar below or replacing volume slider in app switcher. Hopefully a Spotlight API for devs, though I doubt it.

1) ability to delete notifications off of the lock screen
2) ability to delete or "mark as read" emails off of lock screen
3) Other "live" widgets for notification center

Amen to those! I swiped right to left to delete on instinct and was  when it didn't work.

> Quick reply for messages and emails. (Why are we still begging for this?)

> Weather on the lock screen... in fact, couldn't we just modify and use the lock screen that comes up when we double tap the home button? Quick access to the camera, move the time over to the left and put the date on the right and replace the ipod controls with weather info. Done! :D

> Drop down notification center from the lock screen.

> Turn off Newsstand

Gotta keep using to think of others.

ability to have sms / iMessages displayed on my macbook pro when its running and be able to reply right on my computer..
should be a possibility with iCloud's capabilities (have a messages app in iCloud that pushes it to devices?)

o and maybe have spotlight at top of notification center instead of a separate page on home screen

those 2 things and id be good..

Hmm, I doubt we'll ever see a landscape home screen on an iPhone. But maybe.

My #1 requested feature though for sure is Wifi/Bluetooth toggle on/off on notifications screen. The main reason I don't ever use Wifi is because I have to go in settings all the time and turn it on. (And also because I have "unlimited" data :)).

#2 request would be more widget support. Have a widget store in the App Store for small widgets in Notifications Center. It could include sports widgets, calendar widget, among other widgets.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

Weather channel widget because the yahoo based weather is HIGHLY inaccurate at times... It's dumbfounding that apple teamed with yahoo for that.
