Never saw it on TV but have always enjoyed the books (and the character).
Excellent movie; actually, I must say that I really enjoyed that movie when I saw it.
The Killing, an addictive Netflix show about two homicide detectives.
As I recall this was an original AMC series. When a large amount of time is relegated to a single case, although an excellent series, I found that at times there was too much character development.

Agreed, and they overdo one of the subplots. Great show, though- love the overall 'feel' of it.

Plowing through the first season of Shooter on Netflix to get ready for Season 2 on USA Network 7/18. Really good show.
And very entertaining, set in Melbourne, Australia, during the roaring twenties. Well worth watching!
We are currently working our way through American Gods. Very well made and lots of layers to unfold, sort of reminds me a little bit of Twin Peaks in a way.
We were that way for the first three or four episodes too!
