I could not get into the show myself. Didn't like the books either. I've tried many times in my life to get into adventure or fantasy adventure in this case, but it's not something I enjoy. Odd enough, I do like historical fiction.

Poldark, the 2015 to current day remake is actually quite a good series in this genre.
I was referring to books, but that works, too. Poldark must be the British story of what we have in the US called Turn. Which is about the American side in the revolutionary war.

My misunderstanding there, sorry. Poldark (2015) is a bit of a historic romance/drama set in the late 1700's in Cornwall, England, with good visuals, acting and storytelling to it.

Ah, interesting. Turn has some romantic elements. I tried an episode but got bored with it quite quickly. The score was good, though. I'll try Poldark seeing as it's available on Prime Video. Cheers.

Just finished off episode 7, season 5 of Orphan Black courtesy of the on demand viewing available here in Australia, from the free to air channel, SBSII. Gripping stuff, and it just keeps on getting better in my eyes.
