'Midsomer Murders' is playing now while I have another Stella.

I'm surprised you've never been deployed to Midsomer. Dangerous place. All those murders! ;)
My wife likes this, we've had the same discussion. :) We were both enjoying Grantchester, a show about a small village minister who liked solving crimes, but then the local PBS station stopped carrying it. :(

Pretty sure it's on Prime. Do you not have it? On the other hand, Father Brown is on Netflix. It's supposed to be similar.

For the longest time, there's been a surge in DI novels and television being worked on and released in the UK.

Slowly plodding our way through 'The Americans' with an episode every night. Good storytelling and I'm surprised at how many times I catch myself feeling sorrow and empathy for them!

This is excellent. Can be quite brutal at times. Matthew Rhys has one of the most accurate and convincing American accents I've heard from a British actor.

Catching up on Rick & Morty. I wasn't interested in it, but was intrigued by all the drama the fans had with creators 'taking to long', and he 'rick rolled' them. Only to turnaround and release the first episode of the new season on April Fool's day and no believed it. So caught it during the 24 hour run of it that day and watched the episode 3 times. The show is seriously funny, hard core sci fi, and gotten very dark. Love it.

I'll check that! Thanks!

Grantchester Seasons 1&2 are available on Amazon Prime. Season 2&3, maybe 1 are available on Apple TV , the PBS App. I'm not sure if local cable service is required to access PBS content on this app. Reportedly The PBS App is also on Roku.

Update: In the PBS app, it appears they want you to pay their PBS Pass service (a 1 year subscription to PBS $60) for the privilege to watch certain shows. Grantchester is one of them.

Ran a similar joke by the missus a while back. She wasn't amused.

There is a school of thought that says that Oxford is the murder capital of the UK........after all, what else do Endeavour, Morse, Lewis......do but solve nasty, dastardly murders often involving upstanding members of the academic community?

Just finished The Leftovers. What the heck's all that about? Clear as mud!

I think I quit this before it finished, was there any resolution? I remember reading about the source material which said there was no definitive answers provided but the author which kind of becomes, what is the point of the story, to just provide psychological intrigue? NBC also had a show called Ressurection, about dead people coming back as flesh and blood people, picking up where they left off in their lives, not knowing why they came back. That got cancelled.
