Rick and Morty is ridiculously fantastic this season, I mean, it's always been good, but they are _killing_ it in S3 so far (EP4 just aired).

Currently rewatching Vicious series two. I've seen the show a few times through. I don't connect with the show, but it's very well written with lovely snark but also affection. Portraying the trials and tribulations of aging and dealing with younger generations.

In the past couple of weeks I've demolished all of Rick and Morty so far, and have casually started browsing through the first two seasons again just for kicks while waiting a week for the next episode. Speaking of which, slightly baffled that the UK Netflix gets each episode almost a week after the US gets them :/ It made the wait for Pickle Rick all the more annoying.

Also Power this season has been so damn good. It's always been watchable, but they surprised me with how much they raised the bar for the 4th season. Just saw last Mondays episode which at first I thought was a season finale, can't wait to see the final two episodes.

Finally, I managed to not only avoid the leaked episode of GoT, but also any spoilers. Go me.

My partner and I marathoned The Defenders yesterday - loved it! Nice and slow, really spooky too.

Also just finished Good Morning Call. A strange comedy/romance/drama thing about two Japanese teenagers living in a flat together. Really enjoyed it! Interesting characters, detailed world, catchy music, nice and cosy.

Watching The Good Place Season 1 on Netflix, a 2016 sitcom from NBC, an interesting farcical story about a woman who finds herself in heaven by mistake and a somewhat inept manager of the place. Not sold on it yet. Season 2 is scheduled to premier in Sept.

Saturday night is Match of the Day for me.

Before that some rather depressing documentary about the twin towers and the falling man photo.
So sad. Don't know why I watched it.
Far to graphic for my liking.

Another recommendation for Rick and Morty. The third season's seventh episode, The Ricklantis Mixup, aired last night, and it is one of my favorites. Self-aware comedy, race relations (rather superficially) mirrored in the Rick/Morty relationship, a bit of "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory," and a bit of "Brazil" (1985). ****, so much in one fantastic episode.

Also, if you're already a R&M fan and haven't seen it, I'd highly recommend the five minute horror parody short, Googas. It's Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon pre-YouTube (or network TV) success.

I can't help but giggle around the 0:39 mark.

Season 3 has been ridiculously fantastic. R&M manages to hit the beats of a suburban family comedy, brilliantly skewer pop culture, and realistically merge sci-fi tropes into all that with a mix of sociopathic behavior and excessive drinking :D

I f***ing love it.

Don't know if you've seen this, hahaha, it's too much fun :D

Where’s Rick and Morty on in the UK?

It originally airs on Adult Swim, the adult spinoff channel of Cartoon Network. The first two seasons (assuming it will continue a season behind) are on Hulu - and of course, you can buy it streaming through various services like iTunes, Google Play, Amazon or purchase on physical media through the latter.

Of course, you'd need to confirm UK availability/compatibility through the various options :)

Haha, alright, I see your Justin Roiland drunk method acting video and raise you… something else from the Rick and Morty origins vault:

"But Doc, I'm right in the middle of standing alone by myself in this darkened room! I'm having a whole lot of fun!"

"Marty, I know that's important, but it can wait!"
