Synopsis reminds me of Cops and Robbersons (1994).Watching 'Undercover Grandpa' on Netflix. It stars James Caan.
I've always wanted to try that show out. I tried something called Mr. Robot out and found it boring. I'm hesitant in finishing Mindhunter because the first two episodes put me to sleep. Maybe I just prefer explosions going off all the time.I had heard of this, but finally watched two episodes of Black Mirror, a fiction anthology series on Netflix about the future, technology and social trends. The first episode I watched was in Season 3 (it does not matter because these are unrelated stand alone stories) called Nose Dive where a future of instantaneous social media ratings, rank you and give you benefits for high ratings and significant restrictions for low ratings. I found it simultaneously intriguing, depressing, and terrific. I could easily imagine this. Although not exactly the same, a similar theme was in a recent The Orville about an alien society where punishments for laws breaking was based on popularity and social media justice.
The next episode I watched (Season 1:Ep1 National Anthem was more disturbing, about a princess in the UK who is kidnapped and the unknown kidnappers have posted a short notice demand on You Tube that the Prime Minister perform an indecent act with an animal on live TV or she will be put to death and how the government responds and public social media reacts. I did not care for this one.

Overall, it's terrific, though some EPs will appeal more/less to some folks.
I would highly recommend the EPs: San Junipero and White Bear (San Junipero is a *beautiful* story, seriously, you don't get a lump in your throat, you're an inhuman monster ...).
I agree about those two; they were probably my favorite episodes as well. White Bear was frankly one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen on television.
Also really enjoyed "Playtest" and "Shut Up and Dance".
I'll give it another go in the new year if I don't get around to it by year's end. I have so many shows and movies and books to catch up on.Mr. Robot is +brilliant+, you have to at least watch the whole season and S2 takes it to a place you can't even begin to guess at. Speaking of: we're behind on S3.
Did anyone watch and enjoy Dark Matter, a 2015-2017 Netflix original about a crew that wakes up on a damaged space ship without memories of who they are?
Thanks. I realize the series has ended, but there are 3 seasons to watch.I’m about 6 episodes in right now. My biggest gripe is that the actress playing the Android is also the human love interest on “Lost Girl”, and I’d like to see her play a normal character.
Dark Matter seems to be the unfunny dark brother of Firefly, so I’m willing to give it a shot.

I have recently subscribed to Amazon Prime and I found that they have a lot of very good original shows. I watched the following recently:
Sneaky Pete (very interesting)
Startup (best acting I've seen in a while)
Jean-Claude Van Johnson (hilarious)
American Gods (going to start it tomorrow)
Patriot (excellent and most importantly unique)
The Night Manager (Tom Hiddleston, enough said)
I also started watching The Punisher yesterday and I am really enjoying it so far; I think I watched like 4 episodes of it in a row.
