Faulty ears?

Lol. That’s kinda true. One ear is more cauliflowered than the other but still. And my hearing is slightly impaired (probably by age and genetics). So I just kept turning them up thinking the soft volume was the music recording. It was frustrating. :(

But all is good now! Hearing Limp Bizkit and Behind Blue Eyes just fine.

Land of Flanders and Elsewhere
In the afternoon I had a tea on a terrace of a coffee shop. A good looking young girl in a mini skirt occupied the table right next to me. Suddenly a boy of her age approached the table. Greeted her smiling and said:
- Your have beautiful legs. What are their opening hours?
The girl was surprised. Hesitated a bit, then started to laugh while offering a seat at her table.

You learn something every day...

That line should be added to The Cheese thread.

What’s on my mind is how is it possible that I put my AirPods in the wrong ears (essentially backwards) and not notice for a while? More than once! Wth is wrong with me?

I’ve done that with underwear...and contact lenses (thankfully not at the same time).

Right now I am wondering why I am not wearing my sweatshirt because it is cold in my work area. Almost cryogenically cold.

It's sins from your wrestling days. The cauliflower ear was just the start. Jokes aside, I don't know how Air Pods are like, but I have bought professional earbud monitors in the past that didn't come with insertion directions. So I would wear them backwards and wonder why I spent $100-400 on earbuds that sucked. Until one day I'll fumble them and put them in the right way and be amazed at how loud and clear everything is. I guess it's an age thing, too. Yeah, I'm going with that for me.

Really? Limp Bizkit? Sorry, who are you again?

Thinking I need to check tire pressures, wipe down the inside of the windshield, check the oil, and pack the car for the long weekend getaway we're about to embark on.
Road trip!

It's cold in our office, and even when wearing long sleeves I'll have a hoodie or fleece on.
But I'll take that over an office that's too hot, any day.

re: Earpod/Airpod fitment

I could never get them to stay in very well (funny enough, they work backwards better ...), until I scored some of these:

They work pretty well, I'm using the product with [wired] earpods, but same difference. I was surprised how thin and soft they are, probably will tear/deteriorate (or fall off and get lost), but you get 3 pairs in the package. The thing is, I paid $3.99 as an add-on item, for that price it didn't even matter if they didn't work, at $11.99, it's still pretty cheap, but YMMV.

I use Earpods pretty infrequently, but before these I used them zero frequency :D

Meeting at my daughter’s college is very much on my mind this morning. Distracting myself by cleaning up my work inbox.
Sure it will be fine.

@Matz offices, I prefer warm or very light AC. Too cold and my sinuses flare up.

Right now thinking of how stupid mom’s recovery team is at the rehab, the position her healing hip must stay in is causing her sciatica to flare up and they cannot seem to grok that after me and older sisters called about this several times over the last week.

It is not rocket science.

It was okay. Just wish between them they might have actually known what course she was actually doing!

Sorry to hear about your mothers sciatica. My mum gets that as well. Not pleasant.

Glad daughter’s meeting went okay. Boy, I can relate to college registrar and bursar screw ups.

Though I think my proudest college moments have been making it to the meteorological class midterm during a Nor’easter with hurricane force winds, and not killing myself by accidentally wiping out in front of the public safety office.:p Hopefully your daughter will have it easier.

Hope your mom’s sciatica is under control.

In a coffee shop.
@Matz: Cannot abide cold offices. You will never, ever, see me in short sleeves in an office, usually, I'm the one in long sleeves, and am also usually attired in a proper, formal, woollen jacket, even when most of the others are in short sleeves.

@kazmac: Unfortunately, it may require a visit in person to sort out your mum's issues. Even with the best will in the world, medical professionals will sometimes get things wrong, and - despite repeated instructions by phone, - may still continue to get it wrong until you put in an appearance, in person.
