More dental work done which means more pain killers. I think I'll compliment them with some spiderman 2 on my playstation. Hope everyone is doing well tonight :)
I’m so sorry you’re having to go through that. I really hope things turn in a better direction for you.

Though, like others have said—I think it’s really important to acknowledge that stuff in threads like this (if you’re comfortable doing so, of course). I just feel like getting your honest feelings out to someone is really important.

Just know I’ll be here for you every step of the way.

I take it in my coffee.

Now, the milk is dink is organic, but some of the organic milk (one supplier) has been pasturised, whereas one is raw milk.

In truth, although raw milk is difficult to obtain in winter, in truth, it will keep better in winter - I find - even when refrigerated - it tends to have a very short shelf life in summer.

And, as for cheese, I cannot understand why anyone would seek to prohibit the production or sale of cheese made with (good quality) raw milk; to be candid, very often, it often tastes an awful lot better, (as @decafjava has already correctly pointed out) and my cheesemonger does stock some such cheese which I cheerfully buy.

If you know your sources and trust the quality of your supply chain, there should not be any issues.
I had some nice cheese in France at breakfast and a restaurant. But one soft cheese didn’t agree with me so much.

On a farm, your raw milk is incredibly fresh and safe.

If you know that your milk comes from one farm, and that the milk from each milk churn has been bottled separately, it greatly increases the safety of each bottle.

Typically private dairy farmers don’t churn as most never even run it through a separator. The raw milk is cooled and loaded onto the milk truck for commercial processing and packaging.

The problem is with commercial milk, where hundreds of milk churns from various sources are combined together. You only need to have one go off to contaminate the whole batch.

Samples are taken at each farm when picking up the milk. When delivered to the processing plant the entire truck is sampled and tested. If the truck sample fails then each farm sample is tested to identify the farm where the contamination originated. The truck’s milk is then destroyed and the farm who introduced the bad milk is billed. Otherwise the good milk is then processed at the plant. Separated. Vitamins added, pasteurized, and homogenized (where appropriate). The cream may be processed or sold off to other parts of the dairy industry.

@GrayFlannel that reminds me of a summer job many years ago while doing my bachelor degree in Nova Scotia (Acadia University). I worked at a small cheese factory run by a Greek immigrant and his Canadian wife (and 4 kids well they were too young at the time). We made feta-style cheese and other products and got milk usually early in the morning. The job paid pretty well but I sometimes whined about getting up early during summer break. Still every Friday after the work was done early afternoon (we worked until 2-3 PM) the mezzes (hors d'oeuvres) came out along with beer, ouzo etc. Good times. Cheap cheese for the staff. :D

Here it is!!!

Starting my morning off with some tea and a bagel while checking work emails. I went for a run earlier and I am feeling great.

Had to take my dog to the vet for the second time this week. Vomiting and diarrhea. Eating a ton of grass and wont eat even the most basic of foods. I haven't slept in 3 days because we have to take him outside every 10-30 minutes.

First vet said it's highly, highly unlikely he has any physical blockage based on his bloodwork but couldn't be 100% sure without doing x-rays. Second vet recommended that they do x-rays today to see what else is going on.

I trust that they'll take care of him but I dont know what to do with myself right now except for feeling absolutely helpless...

For the last couple of years I was trying to get back into the gym and finally managed to get into the habit of going at least once every 10 days. I am doing full body weights training and usually 30 min on the treadmill at the end of the workout. I don't have motivation to do it more often so in order to justify the long rest in between I make sure I am doing compound movements like deadlifts and squats which I alternate.

I walk 2.5 to 3 miles at 15.5 min pace usually 5 times a week. With winter coming and the desert finally cooling off I’ll be walking out west soon. The walks are so much nicer there.

I am wondering what would happen if everyone jumps at the same time everywhere on earth, does it bring the earth closer to the sun?

Do penguins have knees?

Wish I could run, cause it seems like a really good form of exercise. Bad asthma makes it nearly impossible though.

I try to walk at least 6 miles a week though. And I love going on hikes when I'm near any good mountain trails (which I'm not right now--but back home I am!)

Okay, question: When YouTubers talk about their video sponsorships, and they say how much they enjoy the product, how useful it is in their real life, etc. - are they actually being honest? Or are they just saying that as a way to quickly earn money and views? Was just posting in another thread and I had that thought.

As a youtuber with nearly 50k subs who has made thousands off of sponsored ad reads, it's usually a mix of both. For instance, I was given a couple thousand to work with a remote software company that I found really useful. However, I would have never given them a chance had I not been offered a sponsorship with them.

Generally speaking, be dubious of any sponsored material you come across online. I have taken some deals that I later regretted because the product was not as advertised and this didn't come to light until months later.

For real reviews, just type "name of product" + reddit. You'll get real feedback from real users.

The larger tech channels are mostly bought and paid for on a level we can't even begin to imagine, but it still depends on who's running them and which product is being discussed.

I prefer walking tbh, especially if it's a nice day or I'm in a nice area. It's easier to take in the scenery and you still get a decent workout in.

Given that the earth is spherical, if everybody jumped at once, we all balance each other out, with a net impact of 0.

I didn't know you had a YouTube channel, let alone with that many subscribers!! I want to check it out now!

I'm not saying that no sponsored material is useful to the content creator ever, just that from the big guys I (used to) watch with 500k+ subs, it doesn't look genuine. Not saying it applies to every channel in existence--just an observation from larger creators.

Faulty premise, but correct conclusion. ;)
90% of the Hooman population live north of the Equator, so if that entire mass jumped North/Up, the Earth would flex South/Down, an equivalent amount (per mass) and, due to one of Newton's Laws (I'm old and retired and don't remember which one) we will all be sucked back in together and collide, with a net impact of 0 ('cept now I've hurt my knee again).

How important effective, and quick communication is. Due to certain people taking a week to respond to their email, this entire project has fallen apart. Profoundly upsetting, I'm actually quite pissed. Had they responded in good time, this would've worked out perfectly. Nothing I can do about it, but if you see an email in your inbox with your name in the heading - you respond to it as quickly as you can. Important life lesson that some people haven't learned, and probably never will.

I get it, we're all busy. But you know, so am I. And I always respond to anything, whether an email or text, as soon as I can. I don't ignore people. I cannot put words to how frustrating it is when I am ignored. I don't expect a response that same second, but I also expect people to actually, you know, respond.
