Daylight Savings ends this Sunday.
Yay!, we get to sleep in an extra hour. 😃😃😃
Interestingly, they (the gummint) get to make the sun get up an hour earlier, while we all get to sleep in an extra hour.
I dunno how they do that???
For us, in the Northern Hemisphere, this occurred last week-end.

Bliss.

Between the Vernal Equinox, and the week-end the clocks go forward by an hour, I feel that spring has properly arrived (and I also feel as though a switch was pulled on, or switched on) in my mind, as I now feel awake, alive, alert....

Well our colleagues have taken over the office for their advising sessions this morning as they did last week for their exams, we did the same. There are two study abroad programs sharing the same office and classroom, normally they do classes in the morning and we in the afternoon. Today at home doing non-work stuff (I've worked a few weekends so this is my time).

Enjoy.

I recall a time when a number of us, four or so of us - who comprised the junior teaching staff in the Modern History Department of An Ancient University - shared two adjoining offices; when returning term papers, and essays (which required one to one sessions with students, usually lasting around 30 minutes or so per student) we used to arrange (very politely) to absent ourselves, or, - if you were the person who was returning papers - would arrange in advance (with the agreement of the others) to "book" the outer office for the best part of an entire morning; yes, people had to enter (and leave) the outer office to get to and from their own desks in the inner office, but would dash quickly (and quietly) in and out, as needed.

Somehow, it worked, best of all, without a cross word ever exchanged.

Wish that were always the case ... 🫤🤐

Enjoying a nice four day weekend. A day of photography yesterday was most pleasant.
Today I’m resting this morning with some mowing this afternoon. Shoulder is still sore though so I doubt I’ll do all three lawns.
Enjoy, we have nice weather here too so planning some outdoor activities this weekend beyond the usual errands.

Just chilling and recovering from the weekend off.

Trying out the new laundry appliances and washing the dishes.

Also, I’m excited to try out the iOS 18.5 and watchOS 11.5 betas today!

Pleasant today, but a little cloudy and somewhat cooler than recent days; according to the forecast, sunshine should return tomorrow.

On my mind, well, I am closely following what might be described as current affairs.

Trying to avoid those current affairs. All the words I would use to describe the situation would be on the banned list at MR!

Well, I am expected to pay attention, but I sympathise.

Actually, I would love to burrow into books (okay, I do that anyway, and am in the middle of two or three), and lose myself in the contemplation of coffee (granted, world affairs do not prevent this), and perhaps, seek refuge in some good beer or fine wine.

For that matter, it has been a dry week, since last week, but I may remedy that tonight with a Glass of Something Nice.

Indeed.

Sad to say, I cannot but concur completely.

All our data is in the cloud at work anyway with Onedrive. At home it’s all on my hard drives.
Fortunately I use Mac’s at home and work.
Same here, OneDrive and Office 365. My work laptop is a Lenovo thinkpad which works fine but glad it isn't mine. Nothing personal there except errr browser history mainly MR. :p

Dry, yes the week was but this Friday I had a pint by the river as it was warm and I had the pleasure of wearing my spring/autumn jacket for the first time.

All one can say is -- Penguins...
Funny story about penguins. A colleague of mine gets to travel to the Falkland Islands about once a year to support the military out there for work.
Let’s just say the novelty has warm off a bit.
One year he was going with a supplier who hadn’t been before. He was excited to photograph the penguins (which my colleague had done many times before).
Needless to say the penguins decided to be somewhere else during his trip!

Despite growing up in, and working for a decade, in Papua New Guinea, I have never seen the Papuan Penguin -- Pygoscelis papua.
This is mostly because, in spite of its name, it insists on living on the Antarctic Peninsula, about half a world away from Papua.

21 sunny and happy though my mood is tempered by the news. Especially, among the other bad news, involving the famous Geneva monument “Broken Chair” and what it stands for. Better step back outside from this bookstore and get more sun.

I avoid the news more and more these days. It’s too depressing.

On my mind is what day of the week is it? Been off Thursday and Friday and it’s thrown me off what day of the week it is.
Glorious sunshine outside. Still a bit chilly with the wind though.

Enjoy your week end.

Well, it is early April; I can take weather that remains "a bit chilly", if the daffodils are still in bloom, the days are longer and brighter (and a little warmer) and the sun is actually shining.
