Is it me or this latest beta seems to have made my whatsapp notifications much softer? Even on full volume it sounds much softer than before.
And no I don't have any plastic covering the mic or speaker holes haha

There's really no such thing as a GM with WhatsApp. Version 2.11.13 went final and never got released, and went straight onto 2.11.14.x, so I wouldn't hedge your bets.
I'm not expecting anything from WhatsApp anytime soon but I'm happy with the beta.
It seems to behave and although not being able to backup my chats isn't desirable, it's less of an evil than the ugly interface of 2.11.12 on an iPhone 6 plus.

The last reply they made on someone who asked if it was worth it to install the beta, they replied with something that has me withholding from downloading it:
"We do not recommend the beta, because WhatsApp might do some checks and ban you from their service for quite some time"
As I literally can't live without WhatsApp (in my country it's the number 1 communication method for private and work conversations), this was for me already the reason not to try it and their remark only made me more certain not to jump in
Imagine them blocking your phone number... and with their lack of communication you will have a very hard time unblocking it.iCloud backup seems to not work in .14 version...
Also, for the chat wallpapers, there were some black borders on each left and right sides.
I didn't manage to screenshot it, as the simple fix was to select the same wallpaper again in settings.

Hello! I was looking on internet page from where I can download Whatsapp beta update and i found this one https://dev2.whatsapp.net/ios/WhatsApp/ . I downloaded it,and now after minute,or two when I start thinking that it will install the message pop up saying "Unable to Download App". Now I can't do anything with app. Please help!
Yep, that's because the app needs to be signed. Pgyer does this somehow. Where as downloading from there, is an unsigned app.

I have a suggestion: can Whatsapp enable in-app rotation lock?
I sometimes use Whatsapp while lying on my bed, but I don't want to use the main iOS rotation lock coz I multitask, watching videos and using whatsapp...
It used to have this feature, but it was removed.
Does anyone else get notifications of the same message 2 or 3 times, sometimes hours apart and even when read?
