I was wondering how many of us might feel the same. I go back and forth, thinking my M1 iPad Pro is working well. I’m also thinking are the upgrades of the M3 truly with it vs. my M1.

Maybe I’ll step back, and wait to order until I can see one in person with the new keyboard. I think Apple’s stalled introduction of the M3 iPad Pro won’t hurt them at all. But I’m still disappointed in the slow-mo introduction.

M1 is still a fantastic machine, my M1 mac mini is my daily driver and besides the ram I still haven't found anything I can't do on it on my use case, Ipad OS barely scratches the surface in the hardware potential currently. My ipad is a 2018 11" pro one, I use it as a work tool daily, is my main machine for this purpose, and recently it's becoming increassingly more annoying to use it, I use it primarily for Clip Studio, but th 4gb of ram is not being enough nowadays, it constantly naggs about not enough memory and sometimes crash losing progress, the 64gb storage also is nearly not enough when each file can take up to 300mb and clip studio alone uses 2,5gb. also, the screen has a huge crack that divides the screen in half after my backback sudenly ripped the bottom, and the battery lasts only 5h of work at most, used to last 8h no problem.

I hope they announce soon as I lost the opportunity to purchase it on a travel for cheapper if they got announced last week, Depending on what they announce, if the changes are big enough, or if they change the base storage tier of the Air, I will be able to decide if I go for a last gen 256gb M1 air, a new (supposedly) 128gb M2 air, a 128gb 11" M2 pro, or the new M3 11"pro, or even the rumored 12"Air. and them there is also the rumored apple pencil 3.

They'll probably announce them next week or the week after to get a good first quarter due to pressale money. Then release them next quarter to keep the profit up from people wanting to see them before buying them.

Anyone else with the 2018 11 inch pro waiting to upgrade? I don’t even need to upgrade tbh since it’s running just fine but I want to upgrade to the 13 inch :)
I have a 2018 11 inch pro and I want to upgrade ASAP because the battery does not last a full day!

Same for my 2018 12.9in. I don't really need for the original '10 hour' battery but it's notably worse. If it was straightforward to get the battery replaced like for an iPhone I would. But i hear nothing but trouble with Apple for iPads. They clearly don't want to replace the batteries. On the flipside, if the price for the OLED 13in Pro is terrible I will keep it for another year or so. I have plenty more exciting tech to buy than a new iPad with a slightly better screen and SoC.

I think it more of people of older iPads before M1 need to upgrade far more than ones already got M1 plus iPad. Mine is 1st generation iPad Pro 9.7. I haven't decided upgrade to iPad Air or iPad Pro but I want Apple finally announce it so I can decide based on spec and price and storage etc. If you remember when first 1st generation iPad Pro 9.7 was released as normal iPad price (same as iPad Air and iPad Air was temporarily paused before they brought it back). So I never had to spend that much money on iPad before. Current iPad Pro is LOT of money compared one I paid for back 2016!
Ditto.

Nah. They didn't stop Air production yet back then. No new Air models but they kept selling the Air 2 with a price drop to $399 for base model (so it was the same price as iPad mini 4).

Also, the iPad Pro 9.7 was priced $100 higher ($599) than the usual iPad Price but it did come with 32GB storage instead of 16GB. Mind, I need more storage so I think my Pro 9.7 cellular cost me like $1029 before tax.

I had to search google. iPad Air 3 didn't come out til 2019. iPad Air 2 come out 2014. So there was pause between both iPad Air 2 and 3 (I don't mean they stopped selling iPad Air, I meant they stop creating/launch new iPad Air and it was pause). iPad Pro 9.7 was same range as iPad Air when it was released in 2016 March. I remember I brought it same/similar price as iPad Air 2 cost. iPad Pro 9.7 did increase price by £100 about 3-6 months later though cos I remember I got it launch and my friend was deciding get it or not and I remember she was annoyed price gone up £100 by time she decided! Then that was when iPad Pro started be above iPad Air prices from then and onwards.

I would say very unlikely as March 29th is Easter Friday and a public holiday in large parts of the world. I think it will be after the return period of the Macbook Air ends, would bet on March 25th or 26th with a shipping date after the Easter holidays.
Could be announced on Monday the 25th with Friday being the launch day. 🤔🤷

Apple has (to a degree) religiously launches products on a Friday.

In this situation all countries with a public holiday would not be able to get the product as Apple Stores are not open and logistic companies do not deliver on a holiday. So for example, Europe would not be able to get the product on launch day. I really doubt this.

Ah. Gotcha.

In that case, based on Gurmans post of the "special iPadOS 17.4", we could be looking at the Week of April 1st - 5th.

Not sure what " visual night " refers to, but may be for the iPads release the following week.

Do you believe we could see an iPad lineup as follows: iPad Air as the entry-level option, the current iPad Pro as the mid-range offering, and a new Ultra iPad as the high-end product?

Yes. There were rumors and leaks regarding a 14” iPad Pro being the “ultimate iPad experience”. After using the Tab S8 Ultra 14.6”, the 12.9” on the iPad Pro is now small.

If that's the case, the current 11-inch iPad Pro M2 would be an instant buy for me. Actually, I would buy it right away, but I'm afraid of making a mistake. If an iPad Air is released with a 120Hz refresh rate, that's what will be my instant purchase. The cheapest iPad with a 120Hz refresh rate. That's my criterion.

Since we're sharing what we're upgrading from, 9.7 iPad Pro here. I'll be going from the first-generation "small Pro" to the sixth-gen one. Such a big leap. I (jokingly) swear Apple is also remotely shutting down parts of my iPad in order to get me to buy a current iPad and not wait for the unreleased ones. Lightroom is starting to crash more often. (Yes I use Lightroom on my seven-year-old iPad with 2GB of RAM). According to MacTracker my iPad's multi-core score is 1075 but the multi-core score of the M3 MBP is 11,611. But it's also the RAM.. 2GB is only usable at this point if you're a glutton for punishment, as I appear to be. I've been ready for a new iPad for a couple of years so these last weeks and days before the announcement are really dragging.

I can't stop laughing at how bad the European pricing would be on this thing. They wouldn't sell a single unit.

'The new 14in iPad Pro starting at 2000 EUR, with the same SHOCKING iPad OS you know and love'.

We don't currently know what the full details of this "special iPadOS" entails. If this "special" OS is significantly different that the current OS, there would be merit to function to cost. Otherwise Apple would have had the M3 iPad Pro on the website last week.

As far as EU prices, that's not on Apple. The dollar to Euro conversion is not something Apple can change.
