Whow, 13 inches would be a massive disappointment, I must say. It seemed like this was going to be the moment when a slightly larger iPad would finally emerge.
Well, technically, 13in IS "slightly" larger.
😁

Well, I was kind of thinking about they had something on Amazon for the case for the iPad Pro. I was hoping that there was some information that may lead us to some conclusions about a possibility of the iPad mini dropping alongside with the other iPads, but I guess not. It’s really the only iPad I’m in interested in right now because I already have the M2 Pro. I was hoping there was something on the Amazon that might give a hint.Ads? Not too sure what you mean by that but if you are asking if iPad minis are in stock, it is mostly gone too except some high-end iPad minis.
It doesn't really change or invalidate their point - the horizontal FaceID code might've just been a feature allowed to be implemented in the 'main' / 'public' branch of 17.4, while the smaller team was integrating different features for the new Pros.Clearly when iOS 17.4 was being developed, those developers were aware of the new products as new landscape Face ID setup localizations were in the iOS 17.4 beta. So... it still doesn't really line up.

Hey look, since iOS 17.4 Beta 1!

So, without word a from Apple. We are buying what Gurman is selling?I get your point but there is just endless "little" changes that might be required that Apple just wanted to keep out of shipping iPadOS versions until the last second... even things like icons for a new Apple Pencil shape, etc. Bottom line is 17.4 isn't enough to work on the new iPads, they clearly need a modified version and until its ready we don't get the new product.
Apple many times has required a update out of the box which is also a possibility.Exactly, apple could get them in the stores and have someone update them overnight.
I’m guessing Tuesday but hopefully Monday. Most past iPads were announced on Tuesdays. If it’s from Gurman it isn’t convincing in the slightest! Do yourself a favour and ignore him, he’s good on product specs but that’s all. I highly expect new iPad Pros this month. And as Apple rarely hold in person events these days it can be at anytime.
Haha, yeah true, I considered adjusting my message to reflect that, but I couldn't be bothered anymore. I'm really hoping for 14 inches, as the rumors previously suggested.Well, technically, 13in IS "slightly" larger.
😁
welp this isnt helping with my confidence that something will be announced this week

Not much on the Pros aside from it being the largest ever update, but they are suggesting no 13in iPad Air. Seems to go against everything we have heard. Click the tweet to see his other responses.
Yeah, I peeped the tweet earlier. Not much on the Pros aside from it being the largest ever update, but they are suggesting no 13in iPad Air. Seems to go against everything we have heard. Click the tweet to see his other responses.
I agre. Moving to OLED and changing the camera positio, pencil and ‘magic’ keyboard is not a very large update to me.Yeah, I peeped the tweet earlier.
The largest ever update is marketing chatter… I think the largest update ever was the 2018 iPad Pro, not sure how this upcoming one would surpass it. But we shall see in a couple weeks…
Yeah this feels sketchy. Does this leaker have a track record? Not much on the Pros aside from it being the largest ever update, but they are suggesting no 13in iPad Air. Seems to go against everything we have heard. Click the tweet to see his other responses.
I’m definitely interested in upgrading to it, no doubt about it.I agre. Moving to OLED and changing the camera positio, pencil and ‘magic’ keyboard is not a very large update to me.
Same, although it all comes down to price for me. I’m not willing to pay much more than the current 12.9in iPad price. Any more than £1,250 for an iPad 13in is bonkers imo. But let’s see…I’m definitely interested in upgrading to it, no doubt about it.
But the 2018 model brought a smaller form factor (which that was big in itself), FaceID, USB-C… along with the magnetic Pencil and Magic Keyboard support. However, I‘ve never experienced OLED in a tablet sized format and supposedly Apple is going to have some special sauce included with this OLED display panel.
Is this person reliable? Not familar with them.
Not too sure but this is the one MacRumours based its iPad release schedule article on (and they never cited me discovering March 26th schedule first...)Is this person reliable? Not familar with them.
