Historically, how far out to actual delivery have Apple pre-orders been? This of course assumes one doesn’t get caught in the a back-order/supply chain issue.

iPad Pro When are new iPad Pros being announced?

The M1 pros were announced on April 20, 2021 and available for pre-order 10 days later on the 30th.
I have no idea what the average is, but it has been a few weeks, certainly a few years ago it used to happen often.
I remember taking almost a month to actually get M1 iPad Pro since preorder date. M2 iPad Pros iirc came a week after preorder
Well I guess this is a ”Wheel of Fortune” kind of ordering situation then! 😄 As reported earlier I’ll be traveling soon, and I’m just trying to figure out if a delivery to my local Apple Store timing is going to work out or not. There is a limit how long the Apple Store will hold on to an in-store pickup.
When ordering from Apple I think I do remember does give a delivery date(s). So I guess I’ll have to see if that works with my travel calendar. But even those travel dates are subject to change.

I’m feeling good about this week. Just started the selling process of my 2021 128GB 11”, it’s mint but I can’t find the box and will keep the charger so I decided to sell to one of these online places. $401 cash so I feel like that’s fair. Used to trade in to apple but trying something different this time.
I played with the S9 Ultra at Best Buy, love the size and the screen so just waiting to see if I want Samsung or apple, time will tell.
Android never felt very polished to me, my iPad is only used for content, and only every used at home or a few times a year on a plane so I think I’m gonna be the bigger size this time around.

I think we get them this week. Maybe details today? Pre order Friday for 1st week in April delivery.

Welp. It looks like I woke up early this morning all for nothing, just like all the previous Mondays this month. My credit card has been holding several extra thousands of dollars for almost a month now. This feels like the longest seven months ever since I gave my iPad to my sister. Come on Apple, at least announce them ahead of time so I know what they look like and how much I'm going to spend on mine!
