Never had any issues. This used to be a topic „back in the times“ when the USB implementation was even worse than today, and devices did draw too much power etc...
Nobody is immune from issues. I've had OS X Mavericks to osMAC Catalina. The only one I had was an issue was OS X El Capitan, which was very minor. This was on a MBP late 2013, now I have a iMac 27". Every machine is different. Some people, don't do preventative maintenance. First time for everything. I'm betting this osMAC Big Sur is more polished than Catalina was. We'll see. I consider myself lucky. You guys that do the betas out there, my hat's off to you.

Well RC2 is now out. This is the first Beta that doesn't say Beta in the "About This Mac" window and the build no. doesn't show without the mouse click. So, I'd say very soon.

I say it gets delayed till Friday at noon pst
Just sending them another error report that requires a reboot to fix it. There are some very strange (but fairly minor) bugs in this release. Why on earth would suddenly the keyboard commands for copy & paste stop working?

It's live for me now, but man is it downloading slow. I'm running 120 mbps down so it's definitely the apple server getting slammed.

Same here, 3 to 4 hours...lol...Had the same problem with the first beta so I guess it's just a matter of being patient...😴
