When exactly is the MacBook Pro shipping?

Nobody really knows at this point. I would be thrilled if mine shipped a week or so earlier since I am going to a programming workshop the 15th-18th of February and it would be nice to be able to use the new machine instead of my current Dell Inspiron 6000. The Dell performs well enough, but the MacBook is just a whole other level. :)

Waiting (im)patiently...
 
Arghhh I wish they ship early. I sold my powerbook and am waiting for the macbooks. Im so impatient

I am in the exact same position.... I was so pleased when i sold my powerbook for what I got.... Now I wish i still had the little guy
 
Yeah. I've decided to build my desktop over in the meantime. Im holding off on buying a video card, though I should just buy it.

I'm in the same situation as well, although I'm debating WHEN to put my PowerBook on eBay. I'm a College Student, and afford to be without a laptop for too long.

I'm thinking right now, pending no further delays with the MB Pro, putting it up around Feb. 1st/2nd for a 10 day Auction.
 
I spoke to someone at Apple customer service, and they still say that target ship date is Feb 15.
 
My mistake

Let me get things straight here.

I ordered the macbook pro yesterday and it said it would ship Feb 24. I thought it said Feb 31.

But then I cancelled the order and reordered today to make some changes so now it says it might ship Feb 28

One day made me have to wait an extra 4 days :(
 
i ordered it 30th january,
wil be delivered on the 3th of march...

oh well...
going to be my first mac:D
 
Who knows, Apple may ship earlier.
Weren't they going to start shipping Macs with Intel by June? They did 6 months ahead of schedule.
Now, this is just a speculation. The MacBook Pro may ship on or after Feb. 15.
 
At least the dates are changing now. For the first week or so, pretty much everyone had 2/15 as the ship date, causing speculation that Apple just pulled a date out of the air. This makes me more confident that they actually have a schedule. :)

FWIW, I ordered mine the morning after the keynote (I waffled back and forth a couple dozen times) and mine is supposed to ship 2/15 for delivery on 2/21.

Same here...delivery on Feb 21...this wait is killing me! And to make matters worse, my G3 iBook is really showing signs of breaking down. I did an update to Safari and now it doesn't work with certain work-related pages I go to. Explorer simply stopped working completely. Two of my icons were replaced with a big "?"!!!

MacBook Pro...where are you?
 
I had a feeling that the MBP was going to be shipping in March for recent orders.

I waffled back and forth so many times after MacWorld (I was there, and really wanted to order one on the spot).

Yesterday, I decided I'd take the plunge. Instead of ordering online, I called the two local Apple stores. Both have a "waiting list", and neither list is very long. I'm on the list at both stores :eek: for the 1.83Ghz.

This will be my first Mac. My wife had a 15" G4 iMac which was replaced with a 12" G4 1.5Ghz PowerBook in June. Now it's my turn. :D
 
I just called my local store. They said they were told they would be getting them mid-Feb but they expect them end of Feb! :eek:
 
I am such a loser. For the last week I have been praying that my baby brother is born a little late because his due date and my macbook pro delivery date are dangerously close... I can no longer sleep, get work done, use my eMac for anything not MBP related, eat, breath, have debates with democrats, continue to live, etc, until my MBP arrives! Arrrrghh!
 
April delivery date.. what the hell??

I just placed my order for the 1.87 Ghz macpro book with amazon.com and I got an estimated delivery date for Apr 12-14..

what the hell??? Anyone got an estimated delivery date as late as this one??:eek: :mad:
 
I find it somewhat interesting that even though its February now. The store still lists February as the ship by time. Instead of 3 weeks or something like it.
