I sure hope it does ship on time for you. However, I called Apple up two days before mine was supposed to ship on the 7th and they said everything was good and that it would be shipping on the 7th... then on the 7th it got pushed back until today.

So did it ship today?

Just spoke to an Apple Store Rep.....
Apparently some delays are due to problems with the supply of memory.....
Makes sense since it does use the newest DDR2 memory available.
However, she assures me that the MacBook Pro is due to ship on time for the US, at least for people that had the stock 512 MB memory :) . As for UK people, she said that she thought they were already in the process of getting ready to ship those today. We shall see, I suppose! Hope you all are surviving, I sold my iMac G5 last month and I'm using an old Pentium 3 HP with Win XP, and I'm dying here! Best of luck to everyone in these next few days, keep ur fingers crossed!

Thank god I went w/ the Stock Model! I'm still debating whether I should let my PB Auction on ebay run through till the end. I have a feeling that if I sell it now, I won't get my MBP on time.

Patiently Waiting :-/

Mine doesn't ship untill the 28th:mad: .......but i got a Gig of Ram instead of stock 512mb....will it take longer because of this?

I really don't think there is any legitimacy to this...those who ordered first will get the RAM they requested.

Well say what you want, Paco, but I'm not a liar (after all, I'm sitting here waiting too!). I'm just a messenger and referring to what the lady told me, even if she is just spitting crap out.

I really hope this delay from Feb 10 to March 10 for UK orders isn't actually going to be that bad. I'm still hoping for that Feb 15 ship date
Order dates were pushed back that far  When was this announced. Is it in your order status?

Did they attempt to charge your Card? That is the question of the day. If they attempting to charge anyone's card and the charges went through then it should be shipping very shortly. Maybe as soon as Monday! But the Charges have to go through.

Have any of the UK people gotten charge notifications in their emails like this guy? Again, that is the big question, as it means your order will probably ship within the next 24 hours! Keep us posted, I'm getting ancy even waiting for the 15th!

Shoot, I am asking my GF to marry me on the 14th but I am looking forward to the 15th more. Is that Sad?

They 99% of the time don't charge my card until a few days after it ships.

I haven't seen one charge from apple since 1/10 for the pre-auth.

LOL, I thought I was bad. I am looking forward to my MBP more than my unborn brother, and I'm pretty darn excited about the brother. I still think you win. Good luck by the way (about the GF, not the MBP)

On another note... today is the big day but before I order it does anyone have an idea how long it will take for the 120 GB hard drive? I heard about some supply problems with RAM pushing back the ship date. Anyone with stock RAM and upgraded hard drives having problems?

Um....it kinda is....I mean...we are talking a 3 year commitment vs. a lifetime commitment....sooo....might want to re-think those values....good luck though!

By the sounds of it its more like a 3 year commitment and then maybe a 2 at best. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?

Just curious since the intel transition has then been more MacRumors noobs like me or have there always been alot of noobs.

I went down there today and there were no MB Pro's!

Maybe the bloke before was optimistic about when they could get the demo models on the shop floor, but he was sure they were downstairs. The chap I spoke to today didn't even know when they might be in, I think he was one of the lesser workers - in the official uniform, but without official knowledge (the previous bloke was in techie scruffs - like a Mac mechanic).

I'm off home now, long week at work, I'd appreciate it if you could relay the bad news back to the group ...
Just doing my part. Sigh

Well, the big question today is if any UK people have gotten an email saying their credit cards have been charged. Usually when you get that, your order is about to be shipped. Also, any emails from Apple about further delays? Ahhhhhhh, I can't take this waiting!

Yup...
