Odd question, but I've had a huge headache pre-ordering this from BB.com and so I'm curious if anyone else's BB.com order page looks like this... (where it doesn't say usual pick-up date below apple care offer, and is still processing.)

Best Buy's website is all over the place lately (first order was cancelled without notice or legitamate reason,) then second pre-order I made they changed my nearest store's availability right as I was placing/paying for the order... so now I am not sure if they'll stand by the "available Tuesday June 13th" that they said 2 hours ago, as seen above, they say nothing about expected pick-up date now and i'm still in Processing stage not "preparing." :confused:o_O

I got an early indication from Best Buy a couple of years ago with the Batman TV show box set. I got a text the day before release date. I went down but they wouldn't let me pick it up. I expressed that I took the time to come down to pick up an order that was said to be ready and now they wouldn't sell it to me and said I should get a Best Buy gift card for my trouble. The manager offered $10, I said the time I spent would have got me closer to $20 if I was at my job (the drive, gas and time spent figuring out I wasn't going to be allowed to pick it up that day). The manager agreed.

Now I'm not sure if the order page saying it's ready is the same thing but if you get a text or email saying your new iPad ready for pickup and want to take the trip go to the Best Buy, if they don't let you pick it up try to score a gift card.

If you go down there the probability is probably around 90% you will leave without it.

I would call, and tell them the situation. That way, if by some chance, some twisted employee with a death wish decides he wants to let you have it, well....... :)

Been there done that trying to get a ready for pickup order with the notification in hand but it did not happen the only time I tried to do so back when. I went to the store to try because it is only 5 minutes from my house but knowing full well I would probably be outta luck so I did not set myself up for a major disappointment. And I went right before the store closed to see if they would release it.

My in-store order is similar, it still says In Progress but I did notice the "Make Changes" button is grayed out now so I think that may be a good sign. I guess we will see tomorrow. I am hoping the best buy employee just needs to scan it in and I will get a "ready for pick-up" email.

Not happy you're in the same boat but it helps me only because now I know it's not a problem on my end, (it's Best Buy's stupid system.)
This was an annoying pre-order; so many hoops I had to go through with them. I almost just gave up and was going to go to Apple in a couple weeks after stock became more fluid. Apple has yet to screw up any order I've done with them in the past 4+ years. Again sorry your's is screwy too, I hope it's updated tonight for you though. :)

That sucks, same thing happened when the BB system cancelled my order and I tried to get the same one but it was delayed and now a bunch are not even available. I hope it works out somehow for you. :/

I called 4 times today. Mine is stuck in preparing and says it will come tomorrow but I have this weird thing that says store only and has same order number and is 0.00 . I haven't received any more emails and it hasn't shipped even though it is to arrive tomorrow. They said it should but when you search for the space grey 256 10.5 now it says coming soon and the rest don't. No date or pick up options are shown. When I ordered it was not like that.

They said it was headed to the warehouse. I find it weird all the IPADS are 100 dollars more on the website all of a sudden and all are available for Preorder except for the SPACE GREY. I will be getting it tomorrow. I just wish the website worked and would change. Do they ship orders this late at night?

I tried to use one too but they refused. I imagine the store I work at would have made it happen. My iPad is also still "In progress/processing" too. Hopefully they get their crap together by tomorrow. :/ If the pre-order fails again, I'm hoping they have extra stock in-store. I'll then just cancel my order and buy it outright.

I won't ever do preorders at BB.com again... **not trying to sound like an entitled jerk but logically it makes sense for me to say such a thing after this stupid headache (and especially since no one at BB or BB-Citibank knows why things went wrong.) Someone somewhere must know what's going on. lol
You know I knew our (BB's) in store computers sucked but didn't realize the entire BB system was so screwy. o_O:confused::rolleyes:

So the store that said it had stock is now saying it doesn't have stock and I need to make changes to my order (except I can't do a single thing.) I search for any other location but nothing within 250 miles. I am so not happy right now (though it's not life or death) I am completely confused why I was billed for an item and guaranteed it WILL arrive to my store on 13th, (7 or 8 times) I was told my order went through and would arrive on time... but apparently that's not true at all, I can't buy a d*mn product from Best Buy. My card has been confirmed several times but apparently the Best Buy gods deemed me unworthy to give them money.

Just ordered mine for in store pick up this morning. Like I said the other day, they usually change to available for in store pickup in the earlymorning of release day on bestbuy.com. They did remove the free gift card offer though.

I wish mine would offer anything (but no shipping option or store pick-up.) I called again to see what happened and the great service agent put me on hold for 30+ minutes and then hung up on me. (So classy... and I have not been rude or unreasonable at all.)
This is such a mess (putting aside the fact I want a product) this was absolutely unacceptable on Best Buy's end, especially since it's been cancelled 3x in 2 days now.
*though I am glad they will get you your order for you. That's cool of them. *thumbs up :)

**Update: called again to see what happened and my order was given to someone else, and now they are out of stock everywhere. At-least this last call the gentleman was polite and found the best thing he could do on his end, which was re-sending the shipment with priority status for June 21. I understand stuff happens but holy junkies this was a mess. I hope they don't screw it up again.
So I guess I'll see y'all next week. Ugghh ;)
