If anyone wants a value for money, true minimalist case with a clever design; that protects the back, top, bottom & corners, with lay on table front/back functionality + retained ‘naked phone’ grip & in obtrusive gesture-friendly lips, then there’s only one....

I’ve been using one on the X for years now & the exposed sides matter little as the extra sure-grip you get from the thinner form factor means there’s much less chance of droppage.

EverythingApplePro no doubt was inspired by this design, but the Rebel Case is much bulkier (probably more drop protection) & possibly more expensive. The v2 Rebel’s looking like the real deal, but for now, the DesignSkin Corner’s my recommendation for those who want minimal, zero-intrusive, protection.

Ringke Fusion-X Camo for the Pro MAX. Picked it up for $6.99 on Amazon a few days ago.

Solid case. Pattern looks great with green iPhone. I think it would look great with any color. The pattern etched into the back of the plastic prevents fingerprints. Fits like a glove, buttons are clicky and responsive. I would trust it in a fall.

I wouldn’t call it a grippy case. That’s the con of this case. Overall I really like this case.

I have a Caudabe case and Speck Presidio Grip Case coming my way. I liked these cases on my XS Max.

Purchased an Otterbox Defender Pro for my iPhone 11 Pro Max. I love the protection and grip texture it offers. Wish they had it in some bright colors instead of their usual color offerings.

Generic MagPul field cases in today and these might be my new favorite case (of the day). Fantastic Grip, fit, feel, correct port cutouts and the buttons are just perfect. The real MagPul field cases are a little more robust and a tad better quality but not by much. The only original MagPul case I had laying around was from the Galaxy S7 so I took a couple pics side by side with the generic one. Got the black, green and just ordered the light clay color also. The brand I ordered was Labilus $12.99 on Amazon. They also came with a free USB/LED light in the package. Here are some pics.

Hi @Hooterville,

Thanks for the pics. I noticed these are on eBay also for $7.49. Are the replicas on Amazon different/better quality?

Thanks.

Caudabe Sheath and Synthesis in Forest Green for my 11 Pro Max. I just received them and these are great cases.

Both have excellent fit, responsive buttons, all cutouts are spot on. The Sheath is advertised at 6.6 ft drop protection. It’s hard to believe, because it’s a minimalist case. I would trust the Synthesis at that drop height. I had both of these cases for my XS Max and loved them. I dropped the XS Max in the Sheath from about three feet and it did it’s job well.

I’ll use them both again. The Forest Green color is sweet as well. I like the feel of the Sheath a bit better than the Synthesis. The Synthesis does have a pattern for grip on the sides of the case. If you’re a minimalist, you can’t go wrong with the Sheath. if you want more protection, go Synthesis. Both Of the cases scream quality. Check out the pictures.

I haven’t caught up with the thread in awhile but I had to drop in here to ask has anyone used cases from SwitchEasy? I am not a fan of clear cases but I think they have the best to date with the Glass Rebel.

Excellent grip on the side since it has the honeycomb pattern and the glass on the back basically doesn’t show any smudges and has a very nice snug fit. View attachment 901617

Just received the "new" speck presidio2 grip. They made some alterations, although it is likely not for me
  • material is now the old presidio pro soft touch with the grips, which is pure fingerprint magnet
  • fit is firm over 100% of the phone
  • the logo in the corner is highlighted and not plain
  • there are no saggy TPU areas anywhere
The finger prints and the logo might be the return for me

Looks like they are coming out with a Presido2 Pro and also a Presidio2 Armor Cloud variant. I don't see them on Amazon or on their own website yet. You'd think they'd just wait until the next iPhone to release V2.

I returned it....really disappointed. The first wave of presidio grips was much better imo

I have the Pitaka carbon, I really like the feeling of this Rebel case, is a little heavier than Pitaka, i can tell the difference, the grip is good.
How was the shipping/purchasing process? Seems the company constantly fall behind

I had pre-ordered the case since February.....so is been a long wait. But after they ship all the pre-orders, they should be able to ship new orders faster.
