Tech21 Evo Clear + ESR glass screen protector on my graphite!

After I picked up my phone from the Apple store, I went to Best Buy hoping they’d have some Spigen clear cases. They were sold out, so I decided to try the tech21 Evo Clear. VERY satisfied and impressed! I do wish the back was completely flat though—the camera cutout is raised. And, getting the phone in and out of the case can be a bit tough. The fit is very snug. The ESR glass screen protector was ordered on Amazon and covers 99% of the screen.
I have had the evo check on since Friday. Also finger print prone, but a good, firm case.

I can’t wait to return the Apple silicone case and get the leather version. Far too slippery and I miss the metal buttons.

Its bent in the middle just like the one i had last year. Plus im not keen on cut outs.
Appreciate the reply, mines scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Will check for the same issues. Otterbox Symmetry for me if not.

Are most of you assuming that the Apple leather color options are just going to be the same as the wallets? Was kind of hoping for a medium gray option this time around.

Same, however I'm not impressed with it this year. Kind of a bummer to be honest...

Because of this. The buttons are so hard to press. Never had this issue on their previous cases.
Agreed. Fit is good but buttons are tough on this years. Wonder if they will make an adjustment. They’ve done that in years past when they’ve had issues producing cases for new model iPhones.

Got my Speck Presidio2 Grip today. The case looks great, fits well, and the buttons have good feedback. BUT there is no grip. That’s the whole reason I buy this case for every phone I buy. The grips are no longer soft rubber. Now, they are the same hard plastic as the rest of the case. They ruined a great case. True, the old style wasn’t as durable, and I could always count on having to buy a couple of them, but I was willing to take that trade-off for the superior grip. Plus, buying a new one have me an excuse to get a different color to freshen things up. The new one is more expensive and inferior, so it’s going back. I’ll read through the rest of this thread when I get a chance, and I’ll try to find my next option.
I put a case on to save from scratches but mainly to make the darn phone less slippery. I went through this with my X. Had a thin, inexpensive case that wouldn’t slide around on my glass top nightstand and wouldn’t slip out of my hands. When I reordered it after 18 months, their exact model number arrived and it had none of the previous grip. Hopefully something will be mentioned here that works.

This one is decent. Minimal, silicone clear case. I really like it. ANLCQC Crystal Clear Designed for... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JYT9969?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Maybe an apple silicone case for extra grip? I have the black silicone case on my 12 and it has to much grip. I’ve been really wanting to try the presidio grip, but I’ll wait until more reviews come in.
I have a problem paying $50 for a silicone case, and from what I've read, it has some issues of its own.

Out of pure principle, I won't buy a case with such obviously fake reviews. It's a sign of a dishonest manufacturer. There is one from almost 3 weeks before the phone was released about how well it fits. Amazon has become a cesspool for fake and paid reviews.

I bought a MagSafe case and a Symmetry case.

I have one for my 12 Pro. Perfect fit. You really have to snap the phone into the case around the corners and sides because it is a tight fit.

caudabe customer service got back to me (Sunday!)... They stated that after they got their hands on the 12 Pro, their engineers found that there was a batch of gray cases that were a fraction too small which caused this issue. New, corrected stock, would be available in two weeks which they will replace mine with but in the meantime they offered to send me a black case to hold me over until they can send me a gray case. Excellent customer service and I will be recommending their company to anyone who’s looking for a case!

Did anyone order a case from Nubient? I just realized that I didn't get any email confirmation (I have now sent an email to them with no luck) but I was already charged. Because I was in a hurry I didn't even create an account and used probably something like guest order.

Did someone order from there and if so, when and has it arrived? Based in the UK but anything at this moment would ease my concerns.

Cheers

Already took off the silicone. The lint was everywhere.
In a tech 21 evo check, which is a go to.
Much happier
Did you get the clear Evo? I had a tech21 on my 7 plus, looking at it for the 12 but don’t like the clear cars that end up making the sides look white from the refracted light. Especially with how beautiful the blue is in the pacific blue pro.

🤨 You think the silicone is slippery and the leather is not? The silicone is one of the grippiest cases I've ever felt... some would say too grippy, which makes it hard to get into and out of pockets and attracts a ton of lint.

I have the evo check. Its a very nice case, but the finger prints are a draw back for sure.

While waiting for my apple silicone to arrive, I picked up a Ringke onyx from Amazon for £7.99. I am really impressed with it! So much so that the apple case will have to be so so good for me to keep it and not return for my money back. Seriously good value for money for the 8 quid.

I don’t have a MagSafe charger yet, do they work fully and at 15 watts on cases that don’t include magnets?
Have you ever owned a Caudabe Sheath? Wondering how it compares to that.

Got the Spigen Ultra Hybrid clear today. Thought I had ordered the one with black borders, but got the clear/clear.
Impressions so far:
+Excellent fit
+Super grip, makes the iPhone perfect to handle. The square Apple ones makes the iPhone bulky.
+Shows the iPhone color(Or lack there of in my case :D )
-Dust and fingerprints
-Personal opinion, but the clear borders make it look cheap :(, plus a black border blends better in with the screen
-Installing it without attracting dust or fingerprints makes a perfect screen protector installation look easy.

Getting the Spigen Liquid Air tomorrow :), would also like to try the Spigen Thin fit, but it's not in stock

Thanks for sharing... How is the swiping? I get annoyed by the lip interfering with up swipes and side to delete messages or texts...I have a similar case coming with a 0.9mm lip that I think will be too much.

I bought a MagSafe case and a Symmetry case.

How well does the standard Symmetry case work with MagSafe? Does the magnet hold? Does it charge at the same speed as the Apple MagSafe silicone case?

I saw that OtterBox plans to release a Symmetry+ case next month that they are marketing as MagSafe compatible, but if the regular Symmetry works with MagSafe then I’ll just pick one of those up instead.

I’ve been a fan of the Symmetry for years, and it works great with normal Qi charging, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with MagSafe, but I haven’t seen anyone test it yet.

Thanks
