Thanks for sharing... How is the swiping? I get annoyed by the lip interfering with up swipes and side to delete messages or texts...I have a similar case coming with a 0.9mm lip that I think will be too much.
No swiping issues that I have noticed.

Caudabe & Clear case review and also looking for advice....

I'm looking something I’m afraid doesn’t really exist for my navy blue iPhone 12. I want a thin, transparent clear case with decent protection. I want to show off the navy blue but I also drop my phone on the sidewalk on occasion. It’s important to me to have a decent lip protecting screen & camera.I like to put my phone face down and I‘m a believer in lips protecting the screen on falls. In all my years of iPhone ownership, I’ve never cracked a screen from a drop.

For my iPhone 11 & XR, I went with a Caudabe Synthesis and really loved it. I ordered it in navy & grey for the 12. Unfortunately, navy appeared somewhat translucent on the website but IRL, it turned out to be practically solid. Grey is better, it is more transparent but not enough to completely satisfy me. Synthesis continues to be a great case however and I highly recommend for anyone who is looking for good protection in a thinner package. It’s not super thin but it’s a good trade off to me.

From here, went the fully clear case route.

I also ordered the Caudabe Lucid Clear but I think it provides a little less screen lip than I hoped for. Also, it feels a little slippery. On the fence with this one because of these two issues. But otherwise, a pretty solid option.

On Amazon, I ordered Spigen Ultra Hybrid, Ringke Fusion, & Smartish Kung Fu Grip.

As others have posted, Kung Fu Grip suffers from button issues. They are extremely hard to push. I gave up right away on it but, awaiting a response from the company to see if it’s a problem they are aware of and fixing.

Spigen & Ringke are practically identical, as I expected. The buttons on Spigen have a little more of a unique styling rather than just mimicking the iPhone buttons. I think it makes them a bit easier to use but Ringke is perfectly fine. I've been using the Spigen all weekend and like it so far. i was all set to keep it when I took a look at my wife’s iPhone 11 version and how yellow it is after a year (and has been for some time as she reminded me). I assume Ringke will be similar in its discoloration.

So, is there a translucent clear case that I am overlooking that will be somewhat thin yet protective and not turn yellow?

- Totalee TPU Clear (soft) case...one fit well, the other was loose and 'creaked' on the phone.
- Speck Perfect Mist
- Speck Perfect Clear
- Speck Presidio2 Pro (black)
- Apple Silicone Case (black)
- Nomad Rugged Case
How do you feel about the Totallee? Does it feel like it will provide adequate drop protection? Is appears very crystal clear on the website, are the pics true to life?

Not at all. It’s a noticeable case, but not big by any means
Thanks. I had my 7plus from day one in a tech21 and I really liked it. It did add some bulk to it but I think it was the curved edges of the phone that added to the case width. Still have the case even though my 7plus is now boxed and ready to be shipped to Apple for trade in. It was a smoke translucent grey case but with this Pacific Blue looking cold as ice, I want a clean clear case cuz I’m not trying to hide this beaut.

I have had the evo check on since Friday. Also finger print prone, but a good, firm case.
What's the difference between tech21 clear vs check? The Check is more grippy and rubbery feel, and while see through it's not clear?

Mous limitless arrived, pretty nice but unfortunately the cut out for the silencer switch is too small so I can only take it out of silent, not put it back in. Will be returning...

Got the spigen liquid crystal clear case in from Amazon today for the pro Max. It’s thin but not too thin and is flexible...can’t wait to put it on.

Just ordered a leather Bullstrap, in Sienna. Hope it arrives sorta soon to my phone.

Canceled my order for the Smartish wallet case after reading all the posts about the buttons. Hopefully they get it straightened out.

Edit** Apparently they have launched a button replacement program to address the hard button issue

I picked up the blue silicon for my Pacific Blue 12 Pro, but thinking of returning it as it's a dust/fluff magnet, which annoys me. I usually go for the leather cases, so might look for a cheap case to get me by until the leather cases go on sale.

I initially bought the clear, but swapped it as I wasn't overly keen on it.

I got a Otterbox Aneu for my iPhone 12 Pro! Relatively happy, however, still looking for something a tad slimmer.

FYI, I’m also using the Spigen EZ Fit screen protector on my phone.

For anyone with the Apple silicone case who also had an Apple silicone case for the XS or XS max, is Apple using the same silicone material or have they refined it all? I hated the Xs max silicone case but have one on order for my 12 pro. Thinking of cancelling it though as I get the impression they are still dust magnets and Apple probably haven’t improved them at all?
