I received my Caudabe Synthesis for the iPhone 12 pro yesterday. I was super exiting as I have been waiting for months and this case looked awesome. After using it for a day, I ended up going back to the tech 21 evo check.

The main draw of the synthesis was the matte back that didn’t show fingerprints... the one major weakness of the evo check. The fit and finish of the synthesis was great and it actually made the phone feel smaller than the evo check does. The only drawback, and the reason I switched back to the evo check (other than my dislike of change) was that the phone felt a little too slippery. The back showed no marks at all, but lacked the grip I have grown accustomed to on the evo check. Overall though, a very solid case from Caudabe Note: I know the Sheath is very popular around here and known for the grip, but I like something with a little more drop protection.

My first introduction to Caudabe was the Synthesis years ago. I’ve since come to love the Sheath as well, but I’m seriously upset they’re not going to make the Synthesis for the 12 Pro Max. I thought it was weird they didn’t have it listed so I contacted them and asked and they confirmed they had no plans to make it for the Max.

I’ve always loved the frosted back and I’ve yet to find another frosted backed case that feels just right (for me) as the Synthesis. But I can totally understand thinking it’s kinda slick. If they’d just make the bumper part of the Synthesis with the same grippy finish as the Sheath, it would be my perfect case.

Anyone get their Mous case from Best Buy? Just would like to know if Best Buy is shipping them in Retail Packaging or the same crappy cardboard that Mous ships from their warehouse in?

For those who have experience with any of these cases. Rhinoshield SolidSuit, Smartish Kung Fu Grip, or Tech21 Evo Check?

Have been looking for a while now (4 weeks) for the perfect case and have finally decided on the Apple Silicone once again like on my previous phone. Besides aesthetics, the grip is the most important part of a case for me and this one doesn't disappoint. Of course the draw back of a very grippy case is attracting dust/lint and harder to remove from a tight pocket but I don't mind those in the least. A case that easily grips to my hand gives a me better user experience.

The cutouts are precise and the design is very slim with great protection from the front lip and back camera lip.
Would recommend this to anyone who values a slim grippy case. Btw, I tried the Kung Fu grip by Smartish and while it is a good slim case with similar protection the hard plastic with sand paperish feel wasn't as grippy as this silicone.
I want to thank everyone in this thread for all the cool and interesting cases mentioned that I otherwise would not have learned about.

Mine comes today.
It’s not bad, some say the edges pull away but it’s fine in normal use, sheath is the same, no crowbar needed to get the phone out lol. No saggy bottom and I like it better than the symmetry I returned.
The grip around the edges is excellent.

So true! I haven’t switched cases since I got my apple silicone case... now I want other colors lol.

Can anyone recommend a case for iPhone 12 mini? I don't tend to like silicone cases as I find they attract dust/lint in my pocket like mad, although some of the 'less tacky' (I meant that in terms of stickiness) can work e.g. I tried the Caudabe Sheath and liked it, my only gripe was that the lock button was not very tactile, every time I press it I feel like I'm unsure it it clicked the button or not! Tried a Torras Ultra Thin as well and really liked it, but it's downfall was that it occasionally comes off the phone at one corner!

I like a simple, plain case, nothing fancy.

Not a fan of the Aneu. It’s collects to much lint at the bottom where the grippy rubber meets the plastic.

Do the silicone cases this year turn pants pocket inside out? They used to always inside out my work pants pockets and drove me nuts....

A buddy of mine has been using these for quite a few years now. He swears by them but they're a little on the bulky side for me.

I read some reviews that said the leather on them is very slippery. Will be interested to hear your thoughts on that.
I have got them but returning them; they feel and fit great albeit a tad loose at the bottom corners. The buttons are really spongy and you have to press them quite hard. The leather is fairly slippery but not like a bar of soap; they feel better quality than Apple's.

But, I am keeping another one of their cases which I ordered alongside the leather ones which is the canvas one.
The fit and feel is amazing; grippy, fairly slim, tight fitting.

Time to move away from leather
