Aghhh… I’m powerless against the pull of the dark side. The clear case lasted maybe an hour. Fingerprints and dust inside were driving me up the wall. Maybe if I had a white phone…

Dust inside after an hour??

Do you clean the phone and case with a microfibre cloth before putting the case on?

I clean mine every day or two and haven’t noticed any dust getting into the case

Yeah I rubbed it and the case down with my microfiber robe and then snapped it in without touching the phone. First time it took me a few minutes to notice there were a few specks on the back so I pulled the case off, cleaned both again and still ended up with visible dust under the case.

A technique I use to try to eliminate as much dust as possible is to use a combination of a compressed air duster and scotch tape to stick away any dust/int.

My Totallee (Soft) case arrived. Here are some thoughts:

- It's SO SLIPPERY. However, the flat edges saves it from feeling like a bar of soap. Also, the more it's used, the more it becomes less slippery because of the smudges from your hands.
- The buttons are so much better than the version I had for the XS Max. The version of the XS Max were stiff, but the buttons on version of the 12 Pro Max are similar to the buttons on the Caudabe Sheath.
- The case passes all of my pinky tests. I might argue that it feels better on the pinky than the Apple leather case.

Someone on here took some good pictures of the case, so I'll share theirs:
How is it compared to the sheath in relation to thickness?

I have the Totalee soft case and hard case for Max. The soft started yellowing after just using it a few times. Hard one did not. Ymmv.

Just had some emails back and forth with Caudabe and they are making a Synthesis for the 12 Pro Max with full MagSafe compatibility! I think a lot of people should be excited about that one. Love the Synthesis case.
Will probably give that a go if the magnets are as good as apple's leather case.

I beat you to it over 2 weeks ago.

I agree, though. I'm stupid excited for the Synthesis to come out for the 12 Pro Max. It's always been my favorite Caudabe case and I was disappointed when the 12 PM was the only 12-series case that didn't get a Synthesis version.

You can contact them and ask for a replacement since it yellowed. They will send you a new one, no questions asked .

10 days ago i had a 12 with a black nomad rugged, black Apple leather and a black sheath, now i have a Graphite 12 pro max with a black apple leather only, think i will just stick with it.
Returned the OB symmetry magsafe too tough on the pinky, bit of sag on the bottom and the magnets not as strong but still ok.

The perfect combination in my opinion.

Ok, I have gone through all 206 pages of this thread. Late to the party but just got a pro max and now it’s time for cases.
Ive narrowed my choices down, and would like to know how any of these have held up for you after time and also how any of them compare with each other. Also, if there’s something I haven’t considered let me know.

1. Apple leather - probably getting this no matter what.
2. Dbrand grip - seems expensive?
3. Ringke onyx - I have one for my xs max and really like it
4. Tech 21 evo check - are any of the other things tech 21 cases better than this?
5. Rhinoshield solid suit - by far my favorite case for the xs max. Is the new version as good?
6. Ringke fusion- seems like he of the better clear cases I’ve found?

I much prefer a few smudge marks on the SS than all over the back of the black 12 when i had it.
Agree, apple needs to give the 12 the matte frosted look like on the pro models, loved the color of my blue 12 when I had it, the smudges and fingerprints on the back glass was revolting, ruined the whole look of the phone.

1. I have the black one for the 12 PM and it's a great case. But I still prefer the black Nomad with MagSafe more. Unlike a lot of folks, I like the grippiness of the TPU around the perimeter of the Nomad.

2. My 3rd Dbrand Grip is currently en route because the first two had issues where it caused the case to bulge around (1st) the power button and (2nd - the replacement case) around the volume buttons. But their support is fantastic and have replaced them each time. It's a stout case, but very protective. Pair it with one of the grippier skins and it's always one of my favorite cases.

3. My favorite case until the Caudabe Sheath was revised to fit correctly. Only real issue is the Onyx shows a bit of the frame at the top and bottom of the phone, but it's uniform, so it kinda looks intentional. But it's a really nice case on the cheap.

4. I had this case for a bit and love that they revised it where the grip around the sides is a matte finish. It feels awesome in the hand. Ultimately I ended up returning it after seeing some pictures of what those "X's" on the inside of the back of the case can do to the back of the phone. If you don't take it off and clean the phone routinely, you run the risk of the X's basically grinding that pattern into the phone finish. It was also a fingerprint magnet on the back.

5. Slippery as a wet bar of soap, but for some reason I still really liked this case. It was another one I returned because of the lack of grip, but the fit was spot on and I liked the protection.

6. This is the one case on your list I haven't had so I can't comment on it.

What colour? Are the magnets as strong as Apples leather?

I've got the black Nomad. I feel like the magnets are just as strong as the Apple cases, but I'm also not using the case with a magnetic car mount. The only thing magnetic I use is MagSafe and there's no chance of it falling off my bedside table. LOL

Ring on the back? Saw someone complaining about a ring on the phone from inside the case lol.
