@Hooterville - What is this plug you have in the lightening port? Did that come with the UAG case? And how is the wireless changing? I won’t waste my time with the MagSafe, but often use a wireless pad.

Black leather UAG Monarch in today. The case fits the 12PM perfect, feels great in the hand, nice buttons and NO Saggy Bottom  . Don't get me wrong the rubber in that area is soft and flexible but not sagging fresh out of the box. It's overall a fantastic case. Here are a couple pics:

They’re not terrible, but they’re also not really clicky. They’re kinda mushy. But I returned the black Nomad case I had because the top didn’t cover the frame entirely. For the price of a case like that, it needs to be perfect.

I’m on my second nomad rugged case. Both tops of the case are bowed and you can see the phone frame underneath. Very disappointing.

I sent them an email earlier today letting them know I want to cancel my order. Hopefully they’ll cancel it since I don’t want to mess with return shipping. I’ll stick with my Nomad for now.

Thanks for the heads up though.
Do you have a MagSafe charger with the nomad?

I ordered my iPhone 12 Pro Max today in graphite. After reading through this thread, I decided to get the Caudabe Sheath, which has been my go-to case for the XS Max. I think I might head over to Best Buy tomorrow and check out the Tech21 Evo Check case. I really wanted the Apple leather case, but I think I'll wait until more people report that the corners are no longer popping out. Thanks to everyone for the helpful suggestions.

Man that does look good. Now I have to decide this or Speck lol. Speck may win due to sales. I can't seem to find any UAG discounts as per usual.

They are some small silicone plugs called Portplugs I got a few years ago from Amazon. They now have a new flat design that I need to order. Here is a link to the newer flat ones.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08MTS76HX/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A236EC8B73O61M&psc=1

My wireless charging is working fine in the Monarch case with the Samsung charger. I don't have the Magsafe deal.

UAG has $25.00 off of a $65.00 order or more with the code FRIDAY25
Amazon has $5.00 off or something like that on UAG cases.
Otherwise you can get the 15% off for signing up with a different email address on the UAG site. For $2.00 they will ship the case FedEx 2 day.

Thanks bro will check it out!

Not sure if the $25. off is all weekend or only today.
Looks like UAG is out of the blue Monarch but it's available on Amazon with a $5.00 off coupon. Plus Amazon is easier to return if there is a problem.

After wayyy too many YouTube viewing hours, poring over each and every minute and screen grab... obsessively parsing through hundreds of MR posts and comments... all the while unnecessarily sweating over $12 vs $15 vs $20 vs $25 differences... I have come to a compromise necessitated by the impending gong that ends Black Friday and turns me back into a pumpkin...

My requirements were: 1) no wobble, 2) plus raiseivity/Slamboy Certified ( high enough lip to fully protect the screen), 3) modest+ drop protection, 4) smooth enough surfaces for alcohol wipedowns re:COVID, 5) no clear cases, hate 'em, 6) all black colorway, 7) must be getting a 'deal' on it, 8) return option.

All of this for a case I'll use for maybe 6 months until Magpul issues a new Field Case for the Mini. What a tremendous waste of time and effort on my part, I do this every time I get a new iPhone. ? The uninspired compromise I came to: the Speck Presidio 2 Pro on sale for $26. Boo!

It meets my criteria, especially the return option because I've returned cases to them in the past. If it sucks -- which it probably will -- I'll return it and buy the RhinoShield SolidSuit for $3 more than their 10% off Black Friday price and deal with the camera bump wobble until the Magpul comes out.

I can find something wrong with just about any iPhone case... I am Jack's perennially dissatisfied Scarlett O'Hara. ?‍♀️

Pretty sure Magpul out of the case game. Last year for my 11 Pro Max I had to get a “generic” off Amazon. Couldn’t tell it any different from my Magpuls in years past but...

FYI, I just ordered the carbon fiber SolidSuit for $25 on Amazon. On sale for $27 and another 10% off. Just in case you wanted to save yourself some time and a return.

I’m familiar with that mental story arc, and have come to pretty much the same criteria. I’m coming to the surprising decision that I might not go with the MagSafe wallet despite tomorrow’s pickup window for 3 colors at the Apple store. Anyway, funny enough I’m also shortlisting the presidio2 pro. It’s that, the tech 21 evo check, or the spigen tough armor. All slamboy certified I believe, and he particularly mentioned liking the raisivety on the spigen. Plus the sale is sweet right now.

Trying out this new matte Shockproof case from Torras/Alclap for the iPhone 12. It’s the exact same case sold by both. It’s a harder case with a slight lip around the screen, frosted back and very soft to the touch but not too slippery. Has a nice bumper feeling around the sides or the phone. Buttons are very clicky and MagSafe works.

I’m intrigued but the description of the material the used for that RhinoShield case. Great price for that brand. Can’t wait to try it out.

I would buy the Spigen Tough Armor case if it didn't have that logo cutout. I don't know how I could use the metal plate for my magnetic car mount in that case. I could put it below the cutout but that would lift my phone up higher and also make the phone a little top heavy on the mount I think. I'll probably pull the trigger on one of the Speck Presidio 2 Pro also while it is on sale. The only thing that makes me hesitate is some reviewers say it has good grip and others say it is slippery so idk?

Sort of looks like the catalyst influencer, except without that fancy mute toggle wheel. Matte back sounds pretty cool.

I’ve also read conflicting accounts about its grippiness. And if it’s chunky, then grip becomes a make or break deal. I might pull the trigger since I have about 10 minutes left before it ends, and can always gift or return if I’m not pleased.
