Just a word of advice, if anyone is considering the RhinoShield Solidsuit, mine came in the mail today and I found it very underwhelming. It's very slippery and does not feel very secure. It's going back.

Damn, you weren’t kidding about them being slippery. Good grief. My black carbon fiber one just arrived and I’ll be sending it back to Amazon tomorrow. No wonder they make their cases so drop resistant...because they’re so slippery, you can’t help but drop it!

It’s a shame too, because the fit and finish is top notch. Why in the world wouldn’t they add some sort of grip pattern to the bumper part of the case or make it grippier, I don’t know. But this thing is SLICK (and not in a good way).

Did you end up ordering the maybe revised Speck grip? USPS failed me yesterday on the delivery. They used the ole driveway was blocked excuse....Maybe today if they don't come up with something else.

Not gonna lie that looks amazing. The hybrid was my favourite case for the 4. Might have to order one.
Yeah I'm really excited to get the one for the Mini as I'll probably end up using that more often. I still haven't gotten used to the added size of the Pro and obviously the case doesn't make it any better.

By revised, do you mean the newer design with the plastic grips as opposed to the old rubber ones? If so, yes. I’ve got the navy-ish blue Grip on the way. I’d already ordered the bright blue Grip with the black grips too and it was supposed to be delivered today, but USPS pulled the same sort of thing on me as they did on you and it’s delayed until tomorrow.

That’s a case I have a lot of interest in. The Presidio2 Pro looks nice too, but seems like it shows fingerprints and scuffs easily. My job is kind of dirty, I like how the carbon fiber finish on the SolidSuit holds up when it gets dirty or damaged.

Decided to give the Apple silicone a try for the 2nd time since I returned my plum. Got Deep Navy this time and man I’m so glad I decided to give it another shot. My plum must’ve been a lemon, cause this deep navy was already grippy out the box, not slippery at all like the plum and the charging cut out does not rub against my pinky. Feels amazing.

This is now going to be my daily driver.

Just wanted to post an update here.

1. The replacement Smartish case arrived and has the EXACT same problems as the original one I ordered: Dead buttons and the lip around the screen interferes with my screw-in protector. I guess I’m not buying these anymore.

2. Black Caudabe Sheath arrived on Friday and it’s actually awesome. A little softer than I was expecting it to be but not sticky like silicone or rubber. Very nice fit and no noticeable sag near the speakers or lightning port. Buttons are ok to good; very low profile with enough of click feel to know when you pressed a button. I’ve got a grey one on the way now. :D

3. Ringke Onyx is still a great case with quite possibly the best buttons I’ve ever felt on a case. The “feet” on the back help prevent some rocking but not all. The foot on the top corner opposite of the camera either needs to be a tiny bit taller or the camera lip needs to be shorter. Either way this isn’t a deal breaker for me.

4. Quadlock - I expect this case to be just like all my other quadlock cases. It’ll just be used when I’m cycling. I’ll update again once this is received.
It sounds like Smartish is really screwing up with the iPhone 12. I've had issues too. I ordered the Smartish Wallet Vol II. The fit is very poor and the bottons are incredibly stiff. I usually need 2 hands to press a button.

Smartish said they would send me a replacement case a few weeks ago, but I haven't gotten anything. Now they arent even returning emails. I wouldn't advise getting iPhone 12 cases from these folks yet.

I sent them feedback on the 24th and finally replied today and offered to send me a 3rd case. I agreed because maybe they’ll get it right finally? I did notice that Amazon is now selling a new version of the case with a different PN. Maybe they’ve figured it out.

@VSMacOne That's good to know. I've definitely been on the fence with it but grip is my most important need. Lots of cases offer similarly strong protection but cannot say the same about grip.
If you want protection and an easy to grip phone, try the UAG Civilian. It’s a rigid case with extra corner protection but with a slim profile and yet it feels soft to the touch, almost like silicone.

I really love this color for the silicone case. Bought one for myself. So bright and cheery. Amazing how flat edges (compared to rounded edges) make holding the phone so much nicer in the hand. Anyone bought the plum?

Just received the UAG Civilian in blue and I‘m loving it!

+ Blue colour complements the pacific blue
+ No camera bump
+ Unique, elegant design on the back
+ Responsive buttons and satisfying clicks

- Thicker and heavier than the Apple silicone
- Not compatible with MagSafe leather wallet

Overall, great case and highly recommended!

I want that case but no Magsafe support is a deal breaker for me :(

Looks like indentations in center were designed to touch back of phone to give the back a feel of rigidity without adding a lot of weight. Definitely an option.

I really want a Peel case, but they don't seem to have a Canadian supplier.

You can order right from their website. That's what I did for Black Friday. they have a BOGO event so 2 case's for the price of 1. At last now if on case get's damages for what ever reason you have a spare or buy 2 different colour cases.

It is beautifully designed and built. My favorite case in a long time. If only it came in white! (I know, unrealistic, especially this year when the available cases are all so dark.) I still can't understand why Otterbox has so few cases available (the one I was interested in is still saying "Notify me") but I'm glad I found this case instead.
