The heck with all these puny cases, I'm going to order the Giant Pelican Shield with G10 back plate.

Just looked on their website to see if they have any sales. They do. But they are sold out. :(

EDIT: Go to CaseMate website. They have them their for sale. Just ordered one.

Looking at the Rhinoshield Solidsuit on Amazon for only $23.99 plus an additional 10% off. I can't seem to get a clear answer - is it grippy or slippery? Seems like there is a few varied opinions. I have the Otterbox Symmetry Clear and Tech21 Evocheck but the smoke back annoys on the tech21 as I cannot show off my red phone that much. That said, the idea of a white Solidsuit with red buttons is incredibly attractive - as is the price point. So what is the verdict, slippery or no?

I've had the Solidsuit case for a few days now. It is slippery but better now with the 12 series since the sides are more squared it gives you more surface to grab onto. It seems to get better as you use it though, either you get used to it or the grip gets a little better over time or maybe a combination of the two. Still this case will always be more slippery than a lot of the other cases out there. On the plus side it is a very protective case and will do a good job keeping your phone safe if you drop it. Unfortunately I was able to test this yesterday when my phone fell off a bunch of stuff I was carrying and hit a hard floor. Not a mark on the case or the phone, perfect!

As far as the width, I don't feel it is very wide. It is slightly wider than the Caudabe Sheath, same size as the Caseology Parallax, and slightly smaller than the Catalyst Influence.

Hmmm, doesn't sound like it's going to give me a whole lot more over my Otterbox Symmetry then. I was really hoping for something with more grip. The clear Otterbox has always been good to me but it's not the best when you have wet hands. Dry hands are fine but if the Solidsuit doesn't offer much more in the way of grip, sounds like it's not the best option for me. Thanks!

That's a first, everyone has been complaining about stiff buttons on here lol.

The gap on the nomad rugged case bugged me as well. I had both the black and the brown and both had the same issue.
If you have a graphite or blue iPhone 12PM you might not see it against the black but I have a gold and that thing gold line at the top just looks sloppy.
Imagine it’s the same with silver. Very disappointing.

My 12 PM is graphite and I noticed it as well. Really annoying that a case that costs that much would have that issue. Sloppy is the perfect way to describe it.

Well I finally cracked and gave in to the itch. The seal has now been broken.

The Spigen Neo Hybrid is just as solid and stylish as I remember from last using it several years back, probably sometime in the 6(s) days.

I actually quite like that it's kind of smoothed out the edges of the phone and it almost makes it feel thinner, believe it or not. The feel of the materials is pretty consistent around the phone, with the black bits being a bit more grippy but definitely not enough to grab your pocket on the way out.

The power button is very tactile while the volume buttons are a little more stiff, which kind of worries me when it comes to photography as that's my main method of activating the shutter and effort needed to push a button is going to translate into unnecessary movement. Obviously the shutter button is always available as an alternative so this is pretty much a non-issue.

The color of the outer ring matches the graphite camera module perfectly. As soon as I got this put on I ordered a second one in satin silver for the white Mini I'm still trying to get my wife to use. The only gripe I have, which is not specific to this case, is the dust that collects around the border of the screen and in the openings. I see myself constantly wiping and blowing to keep it in check.

The camera opening is perfectly flush with the back of the case so it lays flat on its back. The front lip is raised a good amount for face down protection and is more than enough to accommodate a glass screen protector. The bottom cutouts are asymmetrical to match the speaker/mic cutouts and the mute switch opening is large enough to fit my fat fingertip, so sufficient for most I'm sure. Unfortunately it's not centered over the switch, which bothers me only slightly.

Overall, I'm very happy with it as my one and only case but I hope the volume buttons break in a bit. It's been a long time since I've used anything other than an Apple leather case but after putting this on, I kinda halfway tossed my phone onto my glass coffee table and smiled as I felt the warm embrace of not having to baby my device.

I’ve bought and returned close to a dozen cases for my mini, and this is my keeper:

Caseology Parallax Compatible... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BB6W7FX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

It has some grip, the added texture on the back is unique and distinctive and the color match is near perfect for the blue phone.

I still have a caudabe sheath on the way, which has been my previous daily driver...so I may swap between the two.

Be careful with that Caseology case, I've had them leave some gnarly marks on aluminum phones in the past. It's something about those rubber ridges on the inside.

I didn’t like it. Nice fit but far to slippery. Will stick to the sheath.

I figured since they were on a decent sale, I’d give them a go, but I have no problem returning them if they don’t fit the bill. I’ve already got one of the ill-fitting Sheaths and I’m waiting on Caudabe to send me the replacement updated case. It’s a shame they didn’t get some of them right from the outset, as the Sheath and Synthesis are usually my favorite cases for the iPhone. Unfortunately, they confirmed to me they have no plans to make the Synthesis for the Pro Max.

Just a word of advice, if anyone is considering the RhinoShield Solidsuit, mine came in the mail today and I found it very underwhelming. It's very slippery and does not feel very secure. It's going back.
Grip and the symmetrical speaker cutouts are the only 2 gripes I have with it. I still keep coming back to Rhinoshield because I can’t find a protective case I like as much as the SolidSuit. If I didn’t value drop protection so much, I’d probably just be using the Apple silicone case.

@VSMacOne That's good to know. I've definitely been on the fence with it but grip is my most important need. Lots of cases offer similarly strong protection but cannot say the same about grip.

Was going to wait for the camo one to come back in stock. Think I'll just order the black before the sale price goes away.

Did you order the black one?

Not gonna lie that looks amazing. The hybrid was my favourite case for the 4. Might have to order one.
