I ordered my iPhone 12 Pro Max today in graphite. After reading through this thread, I decided to get the Caudabe Sheath, which has been my go-to case for the XS Max. I think I might head over to Best Buy tomorrow and check out the Tech21 Evo Check case. I really wanted the Apple leather case, but I think I'll wait until more people report that the corners are no longer popping out. Thanks to everyone for the helpful suggestions.

I have 2 of the Apple leather cases and neither of them have that issue. I love their feel and fit. The more I handle them, the nicer they feel.

I’m sure I know the answer, but is there any front lip on the matte case? I really like that it covers the top and bottom unlike most carbon fiber cases.

Also, I’d love to see the cases on the phone at some point, but I also understand if your phone is your only camera. Thanks for all the pictures so far!
No lip with a GSP, i asked and i had the 11 pro version but it didn't cover top or bottom, dropped it 4ft on the road though and phone survived.
The other case has a lip very slim too.

I just did a fingerprint test for you.

I put 2 fingers on the case for 1-2 secs each.

The Gloss back does have some fingerprints showing, BUT you have to really angle it into the light to see it, front on, I see nothing. The glossy finish seems to overpower any fingerprints tbh haha.

The Matte back, has Zero fingerprints.

Can't go wrong with either.

The spigen liquid is growing on me. The fit is fantastic and it just feels really solid.

My favourite case for the Xr was a humixx clear case so I ordered one for the 12. It does not disappoint.

I do want a spigen thin fit when they’re available in blue here but I think with the ESR, Spigen and Humixx I’m pretty much happy with the cases I have now.
I switched out apple leather and silicone cases for spigen tough armor. Wow. I love this case. I skipped it for other cases in prior years but wish I would’ve tried it sooner! It’s a fantastic case. Great feeling in the hand, solid with very tight construction, and the materials feel premium to the touch. The case sits comfortably in the palm and provides a confident, beefy grip. The geometry is very thoughtfully conceived and executed, while providing considerable protection despite a remarkably sleek profile. Great example of a case maker doing what they do best. Love the kickstand idea, yet to test. Don’t love the hole in the back.

Hey, I wouldn't rely on the the tiny tiny lip that helps the case latch on the phone, probably get a screen protector. You can see in the photo, the slight curve. (I assume you knew this! haha)

They should pay me! But nah, they've helped me big time when I stuffed up an order, and since then just be very grateful for their assistance. They are a small team in Australia, so I wanted to support them the best I can, since most small businesses are probably doing it tough at the moment.
I’m usually not a fan of the cases with the small gaps in the sides because they let in a lot of pocket lint and cause the side of the phone to get scratched up. Have you seen anything along these line?

Are you referring to the little slits?

I actually asked them about this. The slits are required to allow for the user to take off and put on the case, it gives it a little "give".

I don't usually get much lint, so I can't really comment. Dust does settle in there sometimes, but that's with any groove really.

Are you using a GSP, if so could you do a photo of the sides please? I had this case for the 11 pro not sure if i like the no lip but would like the kevlar matte, i just asked then if there was any lip and got this back.

The difference is extremely small, however the screen protector sits a sliver higher than the case.

Plastic lip becoming detached from the apple leather case and a gap is appearing. Is this a common issue?

Yup. And there's really no way around that with those cases. But that's one of the reasons I love Apple's cases, the fit is so good that there's usually not junk that gets trapped between the case and the phone.

I haven't heard of a case where the gap appeared after purchase, but I did have a blue leather case with the same issue out of the box so it went back to Apple.

Does anyone have the UAG civilian in mallard blue with an iPhone 12 Pro Max? Any pics?
I don't have the UAG case in blue, but I do have it in gray. Darker color than I expected (should have ordered the blue!) but this is a great case! Not only is there a substantial cut out space for the camera but that raised area in the center means that the case always sits flat and there's no chance of contacting the camera lenses. Most importantly for me, the material has a soft grippy finish. This case is beautifully made, protects against drops and is just a pleasure to use.

I'm not sure how you hold your phone, but I hold mine so the cutout for the charger is resting on my pinky finger. That means I have to make sure the cases I purchase are "soft" around that area or the tip of my pinky starts to turn purple. Someone on here mentioned that the Apple leather case hurts their pinky. Do you have any issues on yours?

Also, for those that have the Caudabe Sheath and have used the Sheath in the past, do you notice any difference in button feedback compared to previous models? Some of the reviews I've read/seen mention that the buttons could use more feedback.

Mine did for a few days until I broke in the leather. Massage the port cutouts until they get softer.

(Worse problem is the weight of the phone straining my pinky joint, but that’s part of the larger “phones are bad for humanity” picture.)

Got my UAG Monarch yesterday. It came a day early which was cool. Fit and finish is quite nice. There is a little sag on the lightning port but not as bad as last years model. May end up keeping it, hard to say. Just put it on late last night after rocking the black Apple leather case for almost two weeks.

Yea, mine is not sagging and I've been using it a couple of days already. The bottom rubber is so flimsy that it might start sagging sooner or later though. The only other con is it does show fingerprints on the back.

I wondered looking at that case back, do the corners touch when it's lying on its back?

It looked to me like maybe the raised center-section could be higher than the corners but it could be an optical illusion.
