Be wary of nomad, customer service is shocking if you have issues.

Interesting, I've had excellent service when a case I had was defective. I filled out the form, uploaded some pics and asked them nicely if they could help me and they sent out a new case no questions asked!

I had one for my 12 Pro Max and it was not too bad. Just looking for something now with a bit more protection. Liking the Midnight Apple leather case so far but it has only been a day.
I have stuck with the midnight as the nomad is a bit taller, I still have the 12 max nomad to compare, also the better buttons and the bottom is soft.
I have a black sheath stuck in Sydney on its way, was a replacement for a synthesis that fell apart from last year, they refunded and sent me a free sheath for my 13 max.
I got a grey one off ebay but returned it man it felt heavy so may not even use the new one.

On my 13PM right now is the gripzilla. Great case and not too big. Still have my sheath as well.

Is this the Gripzilla you are talking about?

I am curious about the Sheath as well. Assume the Smartish case is more protective though. I hear that the Otterboxes are junk again this year minus the Defender, but those are way too bulky for me. I find @Hooterville lack of posting here disturbing lol.

I guess there is also the dBrand grip. Anyone try one of those this year?

That sucks man. I was reading that here as well about the new Sheath series. It looks like due to the way that they set it up for MagSafe? That would not be a show stopper for me but if the case is making a heavy phone even heavier then I may pass on it. Maybe I will check out the Gripzilla that @AE14 mentioned to me.

I don’t think it’s that heavy. The fit seems better than it was last year to me. I would like it to be a bit more flexible again, which isn’t possible with the plastic MagSafe piece in the case. Overall, I’m more pleased this year so far with the Sheath.

Good to know. I wish some of the other case makers would step up their game. Ever since last year a lot have taken a downturn in QC for sure.

Has anyone found a good white magsafe case yet? There are various white silicon cases on Amazon but none of them support magsafe.

What I would really love is a glossy "jet white" case like I had on my iPhone 7 Plus. Put a black apple sticker on the back and made it look like the rumored color they never released.

Edit: a jet white does exist, from Peel! For some reason they don’t have it on Amazon, just their website.

No white version for the 13 Pro/Max :(

It's almost as if Apple barred manufacturers from making white magsafe approved cases after they decided not to make one this year.

Never had a problem with Nomad when I’ve had a defective case that needed to be replaced. I’ve experienced excellent customer support over the years when dealing with Nomad.
I was pretty shocked when they wouldn’t replace my case that had the leather torn away with a single drop. What’s a warranty for if not to replace due to catastrophic damage?

For a protective case like they promote that’s BS, leather shouldn’t come away like that unless you dropped it off the roof lol. Make a few comments on their Insta posts, worked for me with Caudabe.

It took me 4 weeks to get a reply from Nomad for a refund. That despite trying on all socials. I won’t use them ever again.

Currently using the mous 4 fibre case. Very nice. Not super grippy but ok. Around 8g lighter than a sheath.

That’s not good. I haven’t ordered one for the 13 mini; I was contemplating ordering before my Saddleback came in. Hopefully their customer support isn’t going in the dumps. I’ve enjoyed their products since I first switched over to iOS via the XR.

Yeah, it’s a shame but even after that it’s still my favorite of the year and is what my 13 Pro wore to ring in the new year.
