Which Case Did You Get or Recommend For Your New iPhone 14/Plus/Pro/Pro Max?

The Catalyst Crux is growing on me. One thing I like is that it makes the phone feel so slim/thin compared to almost all the other cases. Here is a shot next to the rebel and a side shot next to the Symmetry plus, it's just so much thinner and I like that :)

Agreed. I like the protruding corners… gives me a great grip on the phone

Typically a lurker here but between this and the leather patina thread, y’all convinced me to pick up an Andar Aspen leather case. This is the Merlot and it goes great on the deep purple phone.

i’ve got a lot to share. been using my carved case mainly until @Joe123Joe shared his thoughts on the crux case. been going back and forth between those two for about a week. on the crux i really like the stiff buttons. clicky buttons, i seem to hold too long and instead of sleeping my phone i bring up siri.

anyway, here’s a pic of my pitaka carbon fiber watch band:

like i mentioned i wanted something i could quickly attach and detach from the crux lanyard slot. last night i remembered i have a camera strap with a really fine pointed clasp. so today i ruined the strap and cut off one of the clasps.

it fits in the lanyard slot and detaches easily. it seems like it’s going to stretch the opening a tiny bit but not deform the case. i have a setup where i can attach the lanyard to a carabiner or to a little adapter i wear on a rope chain around my neck. i honestly never remove the rope necklace. been wearing it for a few years.

with that solved. the only thing that bothered me about the crux was the magsafe strength. a few months ago i bought a set of esr halo lock magsafe rings for a portable light setup that i use with a magsafe tripod. anyways i decided to try to put the extra one on the back of the crux case. the esr package comes with an install tool to get a perfect alignment. it works beautifully and seems to be securely affixed despite the textured back. i would say any magsafe accessory will work. the only accessory i have that is tough to please is my apple magsafe battery pack. it works on only some of my cases. anything thick and it won’t charge. well it works just fine with the crux & esr magsafe ring.

all in all, a productive day on the customization front.

Nice bro! Glad it worked out the way you hoped. I didn’t even think about the fact you could add a MagSafe thing to strengthen the magnets. also, love the Pitaka watch band, looks sweet and you just might have returned the favor and got me to spend some $$ lol 😂

Yes, they gave me a code valid for the price of a replacement case within a few hours of reporting the issue. Excellent customer service. I've attached a picture of the case being replaced. I should get the new case tomorrow if the USPS is to be believed.

Oh wow yeah I’ve seen that from time to time. Never experienced it myself though! I have my new one delivering tomorrow too!! I’ll post pictures!! Can’t wait to see yours what color/pattern did you get?

Hey @Hooterville i like the family photo! Everyone looks so grown! Are you still rocking the Crux? I’m going on like 3-4 weeks of not taking it off my phone… I usually swap cases around every other day lol.

What case is on everyone’s phone at the moment? Like I said above, I’m still hooked on this Catalyst Crux 😎

Yea, still in the Crux as of today. Just wish the Magsafe was a little stronger.
