It feels like the stainless steel sides are somehow more grippy than the 13 PM. If they’ve indeed changed the coating or something, maybe the squeakiness is from the steel rather than the cases …?

I find this too. Feels different and more grippy.

Apple silicone cannot sustain any drops at all without denting / breaking.

This elderberry case is going back. A mark (left of apple logo) and MagSafe ring already showing after a day is not really acceptable.

That’s not true in my case. I’ve had plenty of silicone cases from apple in the past and they were in pretty good shape even after drops. I did have one chip on the corner a bit but that was bc of multiple drops.

Depends on what you drop it on I suppose.

I dropped a concrete pavement and a tiled floor and in both cases, they cracked / chipped

I think that is absolutely the case. Very noticeable as soon as I picked mine up the first time. Does feel like that has worn off a bit though in the past 24 hours.

Apple leather Forest Green, Orange, and Clear with MagSafe wallet in saddle brown and orange. Lots of possibilities.

I like how the wallet looks with that clear case. I have been considering the clear case — how does this fit? I tried the Apple clear on my 13PM and it had this annoying squeaking sound when I press certain parts of it (or when I’m typing). Maybe this was a fluke, but otherwise I liked it. Considering this or a few Otterbox clear cases for my 14PM.

I have the same case but I’m considering returning it because the fit is so tight, and without any microfiber lining, I worry the case will scratch the heck out of the stainless steel frame. Have you used the mag ez in the past? And if so, does it scratch the finish?
I used the Air case last year on my 13 Mini. This is the first time I've used a Pro version iPhone (hate the stainless steel). Scratching is definitely a concern. It was a bitch to take off yesterday.

I'm a part of the upgrade program and will be swapping yearly so scratching is not a real concern to me. But if I was keeping it long term, it will have to be considered especially if you swap cases frequently.

But to be honest, for the build quality, lightness, and design... its still worth buying given the weight of pro's weight. Its all about trade offs right? Scratches for a comfortable feel

Fit is better than previous Apple clear cases and the power button has a slight improvement. Very happy with it and I get the Apple clear because it does not yellow for me. However, this years case is a pain to come off, but not a dealbreaker for me.

Most likely gonna return the Leather case. For some reason not liking the way it feels. Had one for the first time on my 13 Pro loved it but the new one just doesnt feel right. Waiting on my dbrand grip case though

According to The Tech Reviewer on YouTube, the new Rhinoshield SolidSuit is more grippy and more flexible. I’m intrigued.

Good to know — I will give this a shot. I don’t use any of the buttons, so this has never been a concern for me.

So far got me a Mous Aramid, Spigen ThinFit and a JETech that phone slides around inside. Mous is nice; just hate the stupid price and it bows like a banana. Spigen ThinFit is always a favorite; it fingerprints horribly but I know what to expect and I like it. Need to return JETech to Amazon.

@chasers So I returned the elderberry and got the Otterbox Figura - The colour is beautiful! Feels nice in the hands and not as delicate as the Apple silicone.

But like you said, it feels loose on the phone and the edges are saggy. You can flip the edges and see the stainless steel band. I thought Otterbox was meant to be protective… I guess this one is going back as well

Mous limitless 5.0 is an amazing case and the rattling buttons must be a defect because mine don’t rattle at all

Ditch the cases my man. I’ve found none of them really add anything to the user experience due to the already borderline unacceptable weight of the devices. For any damage you have express replacement.

i will receive mine tomorrow. i’ll see if mine are loose. but if they are, i just can’t see how that will be a problem. i’m imagining having to shake the phone to see if they rattle. in normal every day use, i don’t understand how that will be noticeable. i’m hoping this is the one.

on another note, i really like the look of the dbrand grip case. i bought one last year and loved the look and feel but the magsafe magnets were very weak. i ended up not using it. it easily knocked off my charger.

So this is the exact same problem I had with the Otterbox Figura (which I got in blue) - it just felt so loose and every time I pressed on the sides there would be a bit of a give with the case sliding over the top of the phone. Just thankful I got it from the Apple store which made it very easy to return it (most retailers here don't accept returns, the Apple store is a notable exception).

Really such a pity as the Figura cases are just so pretty!

I’m using this at home and the colours are amazing and I like the feel of the case. Not soft like the silicone and it’s not a lint magnet.

Shame they can’t get the fit right. Or they should’ve used the harder thicker borders of their other series which usually wraps the phone quite tightly
